  1. Well there goes that idea Kenny....Lofton...just went yard?? Blah
  2. Cue Barenaked Ladies song....
  3. If you go to www.espn.com they definitely ruin it for you. I blame them if something happens Ron Santo just said "and you hit the key right on the nose"
  4. Santo and Hughes were talking about the show he put on, said he put one on the roof or something also, and hit a bunch of buildings. I can't wait to see some of these shots And alfonzo just hit a grand slam Put that on the board
  5. For a minor leaguer...Doug Krantz? or something like that. Oh no, could this be the end of the lenny harris or troy o'leary era?
  6. We occupied the cover of MLB.com for a while yesterday It talked about how these aren't the same Sox KC faced earlier.
  7. I guess they have a new batters eye at Safeco....the old one was too bright or reflected too much sun Let me know what that thing looks like
  8. They are coming back with details after commercial break. I'll update anything they report

  10. http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation...ng?event_id=334 Results were pretty much inline with my responses
  11. Oh, it's extremely nice, just odd He probly figured that he should follow the rules just like everyone else, regardless of who he is.

    Dick Jauron

So the Bears Training Camp is in Bourbonnais (sp), and so they stay at like Olivet Nazarene (sp) University and eat in those halls and all that stuff. Well, you need ID obviously if you are going to enter the dining halls and buildings and what not. Well Jauron got to the dining hall entrance and forgot his ID, and the kid at the door said i'm sorry i need your id. Instead of just politely saying "well, i'm Dick Jauron, i'm sorry, i'll get someone over here to verify that for you and i'll remember my ID next time", which would be fine and expected, he just turns right around and walks to wherever to go get his ID. I found this pretty hilarious. I doubt any other NFL coach would do that when they are the coach of the friggin camp that is being held at the university.
  13. Law is a gray area I'm sure the law would be pretty damn specific, but in the case you presented, i'd say that wouldn't be rape
  14. If the Sox won the WS.. the next day's papers headlines would be "(Insert NL team name here) lose WS" That's a good call for the Tribune headline
  15. My guess is that you'd have to be forceful and keep it going for a significant amount of time in order for it to be rape...i doubt that'd result in anything
  16. No, the save stat is pretty overrated, too. I wish they had stats (stats Inc probly does somewhere but i never see em anywhere) for 1 run lead save stats. Those are the ones that mean something. A 3 run save? Almost anyone in the bullpen could achieve that most nights. Wins are somewhat useless too. Not completely, but there are much better stats to use to evaluate pitchers. However most people will be like "what's this guy's record" to make a judgment on how good he is
  17. Its about the first time i've ever even used it. Just tell me the ERA, innings pitched, k's, walks and I can tell ya if the guy is any good. I'll add hits allowed to those, Jason... I like to use WHIP as a primary tool to evaluate a pitcher's performance. One thing i would do is substitute hit by pitches for intentional walks in that stat.
  18. Ya, i pretty much said you could argue Buehrle as the 3 because of his subpar whip and somewhat ERA compared to Colon. He has been a lot better the last month (probly have more confidence in him now than Colon), but if you look at the whole year, he'd probly be the 3. I definitely have Garland a notch below both MB and BC so far. He just hasn't quite taken that step up to the next level, though i think he's close
  19. Hmmm.. my friend Rob told the exact same story at dinner Saturday night.. Must be another Scorehead
  20. I assumed you'd be able to stay "stop" at any time and be able to get out of it legally anyway, i didn't know something like this had to happen to make it so
  21. Not to mention jumping off of the Hancock and Sears Tower! If they could locate them
  22. A pennant would also go a long way. Winning a World Series would probly get the Sox the respect and media coverage they deserve, not to mention a bigger fan base. I could definitely see some of those cubs "fans" jumping ship
