To cater to that crowd, yes, but I think part of it was "I'll show you that there's more than Britney and Christina", and I've gotta say that out of the 3, I'd take Jewel. Ya, that's what i mean. Britney and Christina sell....so she's following their lead I wasn't very clear on that last post. What I meant to say was that when people thought of hot singers, Jewel never really came to mind. It was always Britney and Christina. Jewel was always hot, she just never dressed like a hooker. I think the lack of "respect" got to her, and perhaps dwindling record sales as well? Exactly. "Hookers" dancing around sell. I put hookers in quotes because it's how they dress obviously, nothing else. You have to adapt and change based on what the public wants. I am certainly not a huge fan of any of them, but i did kind of forget about Jewel for a while, just because you don't see her/hear her on mtv, etc. Now she's back, at least somewhat. People have noticed. That's what you need as an "artist."

It wasn't his fault he never got there. He had no running game etc Put him on that Broncos team Elway won with, and you get the same results. Same goes with the 9ers. You cannot hold that against him. It's not like he absolutely choked and couldn't get his team there. He didn't have anything around him to work with, some of those Fins teams were garbage.

Ya, for Mark Buehrle. no thanks I'm still a fan of moving Lee. However now that LA has acquired 2 of's (henderson and burnitz), with Roberts coming back soon, i don't know how much they need him at this point. I would move Lee so everett can play lf. I hate Everett in center defensively, and i still think Rowand and Harris have a lot to offer to this team.

One of the worst ballpark features of PNC is the plain green wall for the batters eye, it really sticks out like a sore thumb. Ivy is definitely better than a plain wall, and i'm not gonna be unhappy about it because the Cubs have it. More teams have it now anyway. Half price night after taking 3/4 from Detroit...any guesses for tonight?

That happens all the time, pisses me off. I was at the 16 inning cubs/marlins game last year and they would not let you move into the box seats, when there were only like 2,000 people left. People have no idea how to deal with paying customers. If the people are gone and the seats aren't being used, why not let people sit there, especially after such a long wait? Ridiculous

If you are going to allow guys into the Hall of Fame that have damaged the integrity of the game (there are plenty of cheathers in the Hall), then you have to let Rose in too. I know there is a difference between doctoring baseballs your whole career and betting on the game, but i think that line is very hard to draw. Also, i think him admitting he bet on baseball should have no bearing whatsoever on whether or not he gets in How does admission of guilt change what he did? Personal satisfaction? Mike Smith has been f***ing around with Ruutu too long Of the top 10 players in his draft, 8 received the normal contract with performance bonuses. Ruutu did not...although he's supposed to be the best player out of that draft. Just makes no sense at all. It has pissed off Hawks fans like myself as much as letting a superstar walk. This guy is gonna be special - i can only hope he's wearing a Hawks sweater for his career.

Bonds will never be remembered for gold gloves and somewhat stolen bases because of the 500/500. But he'll be remembered for power numbers and average and stuff, and steroids has something to do with that. A career spike at 37? Please Bonds is a damn good player. Never said he wasn't. However, he'll be remembered as a big asshole because of s*** he says. Just because you are great doesn't mean you should just talk crap about the players past and don't give two s***s about the fans. He's in the spotlight and should be an ambassador of the game...instead he just takes and takes and takes and gives nothing in return. The disrespect he shows for the people who have played this game is just astonishing. Every other player is just like "wow, to be mentioned in the same breath as so and so, that's amazing" And they always are thrilled to meet older players who are out of the game, and learn from them and respect them for what they accomplish. I hope in 20 years someone beats the hell out of Bonds numbers and then stomps all over him, just like he has done to others

The one thing i agree with is the architecture sucks, the two levels of skyboxes screws everything up. Just as the press box and those other booths take up so much room vertically. Definitely makes the upper deck s***tier than it should be.

Well then that doesn't say much for the future of maggs and MB I know colon could be better, but he hasn't been horrible and isn't responsible for this team sucking it up for half a year. I'm not gonna look back after the season, even if he is gone, and say "damn it we could have rocky biddle right now" HSC, is this 2 week period so vital that the white flag will be up before the season is over or are you talking after the season.
