QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 09:53 PM) Bell could possibly be a lot better than that, he's got a chance to be a good one. Coming back from injury, as a rookie, with that offensive line...I don't see "good one" yet this year. But could still have value. -

QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 07:42 PM) Nope, just a feeling, I like their big WRs and liked Glennon going into the draft..Plus I had Zach Sudfeld in one league and Isaac Redman/Le'veon Bell in the others. With no one worthy of a pick up it doesn't hurt in sacrifice of Sudfeld/Redman. I'm a fantasy football hipster. Bell could be worth hanging onto, certainly more value than Glennon right now. He may start and get a lot of touches this week, depending on your rbs moving forward, could play on bye weeks etc. Sudfeld? Why was he on your roster after week 1? Who are your qbs that you need Glennon? -

Swing for the fences this weekend, next HR hit, walk off and be done. Hopefully last night wasn't the last one. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 27, 2013 -> 01:00 PM) 50 percent chance of being miserable with a WS title no thanks. It's not what you hope will happen first, it's what you think will happen first.

Scott jumped Kessel, Kessel never said he wanted to fight. Scott said he was going to jump whoever was next to him, period. So I'm sure when Scott said that, Kessel said something, but it sure wasn't "sure thing, can't wait." I actually had no problem with Kessel's first chop at his skate, it was the latter slashes that I had issue with.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 04:05 PM) I learned a great lesson for newbie players this week. Don't have all matchups with good teams against bad teams. Marshon Lynch and Knowshon moreno got me nothing as RB because the respective teams got so far ahead they were benched by the third quarter. It's difficult to pick different matchups. I'd like to hear other philosophies on how people pick which players to play not just advice on who to play. In general, there's probably a bit too much stock put into matchups. Don't overplay matchups. You play your best guys. Bring matchups into play when guys are closely ranked/expectations are relatively the same. All of this is relative to who else you have, but I don't see any way you have so much depth that you're sitting Lynch, a sure-fire top 10 RB, if not top 5. You can't over think those types of decisions and get too cute. Sure, Lynch and Moreno may not get much if their team is up big, but they could have been the ones to have 2 tds to get them to that point. You just don't know. I'd rather play my studs and hope for the best even if it's just 3 quarters. You can never expect/assume a blowout situation anyway. -
QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) Is Chicago Fire worth starting?? I watched season 1 this summer and am sticking with it, starting last night. I like it.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 05:29 PM) Guy I know who is close to the situation and following it predicts Cliff and Lyle to Kansas because they're offering "the most". Wink wink. No surprise to anyone. f*** it, I don't want to give the guy a dime. Not what Illinois needs to be about. -

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 12:05 PM) Couldn't you just on demand it? Good point. I didn't even check if it was up yet, or not sure how long it takes to put on there.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 23, 2013 -> 06:51 AM) No kidding, they let a MSU player punch an ND player, didn't penalize or eject him, and then penalized Brian Kelly when he complained. Not to mention all the additional pass interference penalties MSU got away with that weren't called. ND totally got hosed that game. Would have won by a lot more if not for the refs. And this guy wonders why no one takes him seriously. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 23, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) Ya I saw. Blah. I know what you're rooting for, but from someone who has no skin in it...how the f*** is that not a defensive touchdown? Defies all logic. -

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Sep 23, 2013 -> 01:08 PM) I've been offered Mike Wallace for Antonio Brown. Do I cash in on his big night against the Bears or do I hold on to him? Cash in on what? s***ty Mike Wallace? That'd be an awful trade. I'd keep brown. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 21, 2013 -> 04:08 PM) I'd be livid if I was a Tennessee fan. Butch Jones basically gave up any chance at a win by keeping that stiff of a QB in the game. Should've swallowed his pride and put in the starter from the first two weeks. Five yards at halftime, lol -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) Loved their celebration and Brandon McCarthy's reaction to it. I'll disagree with you here. I'm sure most people love the celebration, because they aren't Dbacks fans. I guarantee the Tigers win the division and jump in a pool at the cell, people would be going crazy. I found it to be a bit classless. But, it just further underscores the point that baseball celebrations are absolutely ridiculous. Clinch the playoffs? OMG GIANT CHAMPAGNE PARTY LIKE WE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Win a wild card play-in game? OMG A GIANT CHAMPAGNE PARTY LIKE WE WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Repeat up to 3 more times. Win the world series? Same exact party we've already done 3-4 times. It's so silly, every single time.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 06:17 PM) One last post for week 3... Luck or Eli? then another league I have Ryan or Shaub?.....Shaub is facing the Ravens who gave up the 2nd most points to QB First one is close, I'd lean Eli in this one due to the tough matchup for Luck, SF on the road. Eli's been slinging it and if he limits turnovers a bit, should be a lot of points there. Second one, don't be cute, you're playing Ryan. -

QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 19, 2013 -> 09:57 AM) I picked up Rainey too but then dropped him minutes later in favor of McGahee. Hopefully he passes his physical. I'd go Woodhead in a PPR. With Stephen Jackson out who should I play at flex? Right now I have Julius Thomas starting there but I also have Eddie Royal and Coby Fleener(Dwayne Allen is out). I feel like I should wait a week to consider McGahee there. Would you guys start Royal over Garcon/T. Smith/Shorts? I'd start Royal this week over Shorts, brutal matchup against SEA. You'd basically be relying on garbage time to get him any points. -

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 18, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) I know nobody cares but it might make some people feel better, had one of the more disappointing losses in my FF career. I was up 6 and still had AJ Green and Antonio Brown on MNF and I was going up against Cincys defense, ya I lost by 1. That's pretty brutal.
