Nope not quite like that. What I have is a lot less exotic. The antenna are very long, but also very thin. A cross between a frog and a cricket is the best description I can give. I have been talking to more friends, and another friend had this problem in their garage for one summer, and then the things never came back. It seems a person has either never seen one, or only seen them when they have infested a part of the house.

I have flown at least a dozen times since 9/11...here is what I think. Terrorists started hijacking planes long before I was born, didn't stop me from flying before, so why should I stop flying after 9/11. I have always been more afraid of engine failure than hijackers.

thanks for the help guys, just found out a neighbor had a similar bug in their house, and a friend saw one too. Definately not cicadas, I guess it could be a grass hopper, but it is a different color, and body.

I checked out some pics of leaf hoppers and the bug I dealt with was bigger, darker, and had huge back legs.

I would say it was a very dark green or a blackish, however the bottom was kind of light

I opened my car door today and thought I noticed a frog leap into the corner of my garage. I didn't see anything except for 8 long ass antennas coming out from underneath the lawn mower. I am afraid of any bug larger than a house spider so I called for my dad. My dad comes into the garage with some raid expecting a routine killing, however upon lifting the lawn mower, a pack of huge ass bugs came leaping around. These things were the size of frogs and jumped like frogs. After about 45 minutes of uncontrolled sprayings of raid, and after 2 brooms were broken trying to swat the things, 9 lay dead. Here is how I can describe them Including antennas they were as big as 5 inches long. They leapt like a grass hopper or frog. They had big upside down V shaped legs, and there bodies were thick. Neither me or my dad have seen these things before in our lives. The bug guy is coming out to investigate. Anyone think they recognize what these mother f***ers are?

If you want good tap water in the chicago land area, move to western springs. I think its one of the few suburbs that uses its own water supply (the name tells you where it comes from). Living in Western Springs, I didn't like going to restraunts in the neighboring towns because lake michigan water doesn't compare. Anyway, now we have one of those filtrations systems steff was talking about because I don't trust New Jersey water. Too many decaying bodies and GE chemicals in the water I think I am just going to move to Love Canal New York so I don't have to worry about bad water.

Just bought the game, and I love it. What the f*** are sliders? Anyway I started a dynasty with Army, and can't wait 'till a bigger school offers me a contract. Anyway, I haven't passed that often because army has a decent tailback, and the qb is fast, but I noticed that calling button hooks or crossing patterns doesn't guaruntee a completion as it did in Madden. I love all the extra features, and the enhanced running game. So far Army 48 Dartmouth 0 Army 7 Lousville 21 (2 fumbles within my own 30 killed me) love the game, especially the crowd s***, and the timeout features. IMO, better than madden. (to be fair, I enjoyed madden until I got sick of blowing out the computer)

I go back and fourth. I put my (fake) vote on Bush, however that could change in a second. My initial reaction to Farenheight 9/11 was holy s***, is he right? While I still think it is a good movie (and well made too), doing a little research on it has made me think more of bush and less of Michael Moore's credibility. I think whatever happens in the next 2-3 months will have a greater impact on the election than anything the candidates say. Frankly, if Iraq settles down and the economy is strong come november, Bush will be re-elected.

I think I know who it is...I feel kind of proud. However there is a deeper issue here. What are we doing to ourselves and our fellow human beings? I did not read HSC's comments about Steff. But bringing out personal infromation about anyone is disgusting. Steff, we had a disagreement once but I think you are a responsible, smart, and inciteful poster. What HSC did to you is horrible, but I think posting pm's or emails would be just as bad as what she did to you, and therefore it is not the correct course of action. However, I will not stick my nose where it doesn't belong. And I will not say anything more on that topic.
