  1. in short...yes as long as you don't fly in russia you will be fine.
  2. I personally am in favor of making every human in that region leave...then dropping nukes so all of the old buildings are destroyed then digging up the soil and dropping it into the ocean. Then that area of the world will truley be nothing more than just desert. Honestly, is God more present at the wall? Does allah live only where Muhammad traveled? IMO, religion is not about old artifacts, it is not about places where Jesus had his feet washed, it is about a persons own closeness with God. Carry on...
  3. I wish that post ended with an evil laugh... You are wrong yet again Mr. Apu...mua ha ha ha ha!

  5. Man's HIV Diagnosis Reversed after 8 years SAN FRANCISCO (Aug 30) - A California man who once tested positive for HIV has learned the diagnosis made eight years ago was mistaken and he never had the virus that causes AIDS. Jim Malone spent years battling depression and losing weight, expecting to die at any time. He attended support group meetings and accepted free meals from an AIDS charity. Malone's main doctor, Richard Karp, acknowledged the error in an Aug. 4 letter to the Department of Veterans Affairs clinic where Malone was treated. "As his primary care provider, I take full responsibility," the doctor wrote. Malone, who is gay and has lost friends to AIDS, said he is relieved but angry at his doctor. "He told me, 'We made a very big mistake. We did not do our job,'" he said. "I said, 'You mean to tell me that all you have to say is you are sorry? Sorry that I lived for all this time believing I was going to die?'" The Oakland Department of Veterans Affairs is investigating. The error may have occurred because Malone arrived at the clinic in 1996 with lab results from a testing firm showing he had HIV, said Karen Pridmore, spokeswoman for the VA's Northern California Health Care System. The clinic performed its own HIV test on Malone to confirm the first set of results and it came back negative, but that information was never shared with the patient, Pridmore said. The mistake was uncovered by the VA's computer system, which tracks HIV patients and conducts a periodic review of cases.
  6. Obviously noone wants to see rules like this implemented, but sometimes it just has to be done. Here is to good posting in the future
  7. hey now...thats a 4.79 ERA to you mister
  8. I have been thinking the same thing about Bill Mueller, I would love to see him here. If we did get Hairston, I would want him playing full time. A guy that can steal 30 bases and own a .360 OPS is pretty rare, so I would want him at the top of the line up every day.
  9. Schmidt and Pedro in the same rotation... btw, look for the Yankees to land Pavano
  10. Jon Garland's first three full seasons as a starter: 2002- 4.58 ERA; 5.23 K/9; .752 OPS; 1.41 WHIP 2003- 4.51 ERA; 5.07 K/9; .762 OPS; 1.37 WHIP 2004- 4.79 ERA; 4.63 K/9; .765 OPS; 1.36 WHIP Garland has only shown slightly improved control in his first three season as a full time starter...Pass
  11. Flying isn't that bad, after a while it is just boring as s***.
  12. This is true, however Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, and Roger Clemens have been the most dominating pitchers of the last quarter century and they were dominating because of their heat. What it all comes down to is pinpoint control or the ability to strike a lot batters out. Bill James has noted that pitchers who don't have a better than average strike out total have less longevity than strike out pitchers. The anti-thesis in this case would be Jamie Moyer, but your aren't going to blow out your arm throwing fastball/change up/fastball/change up like Moyer often does. Look at Al Leiter on your list, the guy is a walk machine, however he also strikes a ton of batters out and therefore is near the top of the league in ERA.
  13. This is correct...I think he is dominican.
  14. Even if I think of points to refute what you just said you will not be convinced...So I am going to bow out of this one
  15. is that a statement of agreement, or is that a question? If you are agreeing that your statement was sarcasm then I have no response... If it is a question...yes it was sarcasm.
  16. I thought your comment was a jab directed at me. If it wasn't, I apologize for getting on your case.
  17. Did I mention he throws his fastball at 100+ with movement I am glad I have his bowman rookie card
