interesting smiley usage...I saw that post needing something less patriotic.

I chose Marte. He has struggled recently, but in a jam, I want to see Marte out there.

This makes me ponder Dan Wright's future. He is obviously throwing softer than he did in 2002. He was 93-94, now he is 89-90, I even saw him drop some of his fastballs down to 87. He is a wild knuckle curve pitcher, he needs the extra velocity. If he had Mike Mussina control, he could get away with it, but the guy can't find the plate. I used to just assume that if Dan Wright failed as a starter, he could have a nice career out of the pen, but right now, I don't see it. Hopefully this is just a slow start, and I would like to see Wright excell when we bring him back up.

By the way, of all the stadiums i have been too, I like Miller Park the best.

Haven't been to SBC, but of the other four, I liked Camden was the best. Fenway is cool I go to yankee stadium almost every week during the summer, it is a piece of crap. Wrigley is ok once you are in the seating area, but inside it is like hell. Camden is just nice and awesome in every way.

Very sad. My question is, how would cerebral palsy cause him to fall out? I thought it was a breathing ailment, but I may be thinking of something else. I remember in Houston a mentally handicapped child crawled out of his harness on the "giant drop" ride and fell, a few years ago. Perhaps people with handicaps should be given a warning, or have a special supervisor in the seat next to them.

Barry Bonds was intentionally walked four times last night. On one hand I can see why opposing pitchers are doing this, but damn I want to see the guy swing the bat.

I just heard on the radio that the Marlins and Miami-Dade county reached an agreement to raise funds to build a 325 million dollar retractable roof stadium. I think that could be a good baseball market.

I agree with J.Reed about Cotts, but I am not sold on bringing up Diaz. As good as he is, I think he is a young guy that will be better off staying in AAA for now. Rauch on the other hand is down to his last option (I believe), and Grilli is an older guy too. So I feel we should see where we stand with those two, before we turn to the young guys. As for Cotts, like I said, I agree he would not be a bad choice. I would like to see him to continue working on his control out of the pen before we throw him into the fray.

If/when we do bring up a fifth starter, I would like to see Grilli or Rauch.

If they want to use Cotts in the rotation, then there is no point in waisting a young guy's options. Calling Wunsch up would make sense unless he is hurting.

I think that mulch would draw some interesting animals to the garden.

I'm no hero, I just enjoy making concessions.
