  1. I think our boy Enemencio resembles a young Pedro Martinez...darker skin though.
  2. I am active, but I have to say...it's lonely at the top
  3. I would not be surprised to see him bat .400 this year. Perhaps the only thing that will keep him out of the record books are walks. If he keeps his BA over .500, no pitcher will throw the ball over the plate, and he won't get the necessary at-bats. If they do throw to him, there is not much stopping him from batting below .400. The guy is just a artificially created beast.

If your highschool is anything like mine, saying 'shrunken testicles' got hours of laughs out of your audience.

    Popups

I get those stupid popups that popup blocker doesn't block
  6. I am not sure what the guitar in the picture is, but he has used a Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 before, as well as a 1970 Stratocaster
  7. Michael Einziger of Incubus
  8. Perhaps some of the radical clerics, and some of the brainwashed 'henchman' want Israel out for good. But I believe many Palestinians realize the future lies in compromise. Palestinian leaders such as Qureia, and even many members in the political wing of the Hamas Faction are not supportive of an ongoing armed conflict against Israel. There was a blurb in Time magazine that mentions many of the top flight members of the militant wing of Hamas are worried that the political wing is backing off of Israel. This could lead to violence among Palestinians, which would help Israels cause, but it also shows just shows that peace can be attained. If members of Hamas want to back off of Israel, chances are the average Palestinian family does not want war. Patience is a virtue, and if Israel is patient and willing to make some concessions, peace will be achieved. I worry Sharon and hardliners like yourself will not show the necessary patience.
  9. There are only 3 drivers I despise: Dale Jr., Harvick, and of course Stewart
  10. Everything about the events of the 1972 Olympics is so unsettling. Its amazing how unprepared the police were. How uncoordinated all the rescue plans were, and even how easy it was for the terrorists to carry out the plan. The 2002 SI issue about the 72 Olympics even mentions that drunk american athletes helped the terrorists scale the fences of the Olympic dorms.
  11. I think it is impossible to say Israel is not part of the economic problems in Palestine. Even if you put economics to the side, the invade-destroy-leave tactics Israle uses are certaintly pouring gas on the fire. I do not know how funding is distributed to the Palestinians. But it is my belief that no amount of funding will help unless Israel leaves all Palestinian areas. Once that is done, 3rd party orginizations must be given the funds to rebuild Palestine.
  12. I will say this year the risk is especially high. From what I have read, athletes may have to be housed in docked cruise ships. That puts them at even higher risk.
  13. I would hope Israel would share their medical and technological advances with us anyways. I believe most free countries share information of that sort.
  14. No, this is the only thread that is talking about Israel and Palestine. And you have know right to question my knowledge of the subject.
  15. The hatred comes from their hatred of Israel. Lets turn the tables. Lets say England gave all sorts of money and military support to Palestine. Then on Saturday evening, a palestinian missle is used to blow up Sharon's motorcade. How would you feel about England?
  16. Israel and Palestine. One has people in desperate need of Economic aid. That would be Palestine. I am so sick of arguing the same point, that I am not going to spell it all out again. But to sum it up, comfort is peace.
  17. I am just glad to the #24 car back in victory lane. It wasn't the cleanest race, but it is hard for me to complain considering my favirote driver won.
  18. I can't say I agree with putting Rowand in the dog house, mostly becasue I think he is playing about where his talent level is. He has played some solid defense and can probably hit better than he is now, but I think the guy has the offensive tools of a fourth outfielder. Crede got off to a slow start last year too, hopefully he will come around.
  19. This guy claims to know exactly where it is...even has pictures of the site. Noah's Ark and pictures For you conspiracy Theorists
  20. I have heard this too. This is where my views begin to contradict. On one hand I think the story could be symbolic of a smaller flood and by 2 of every animals it could mean 2 of all the local livestock. This seems more reasonable. On the other hand, the whole point of the story is that it is a miracle. And if there is a God and he did intervine like this, I don't think Noah would have a problem getting an ark, and gathering the animals.
  21. I have a great respect for your ability to refute arguments, and to stand by what you believe (or lack there of ) I recall a previous thread involving creation. I brought up an analogy that the odds of life appearing on a planet are about the same as a tornadoe going through a junkyard and assembling an airplane. I think the numbers Tizzle shows support the airplane analogy.
  22. I think so far, Willie, Uribe, Paulie, Olivo, and Schoeneweis and Adkins have all performed better than I was expecting. Some may argue that Willie has been a let down, but considering that this is his first month as an everyday player he isn't doing that bad. I just hope he starts seeing a few more pitches. I don't think there have been too many let downs...which is obviously a plus. Any opinions on the subject?
  23. Oh man, and I thought ozzie was going to get pwned in the papers tomorrow. Instead Dransfeldt (the newest occult hero) made him look like a genious
  24. I'm still going crazy...how the hell did we pull this out! Lance Carter...welcome to Tampa Bay's large hall of shame
