I wonder if GameDay has any relation to reality. Pitches in the strike zone are being called balls. And the pitch that got Jermaine looked like a ball.

Last year, during the first weekend of MNF, there were two Monday night games. The later game was called by Ron Jaworski and Dick Vermeil. And guess what? Jaws and Vermeil were great together! I'm all for giving Jaws a shot in this year's booth. Theismann wasn't very good.

Let's put it this way. Ozzie did not cause the injury to happen. Injuries do happen at every position, and the fact that an injury occurred is no more Ozzie's fault than it is any of ours. However, assuming that it's easier for a player to be injured when he's playing a position at which he's not as comfortable as his regular position, I'm going to assign some of the blame to Ozzie for putting Hall in that position. This is magnified when you look at how important Hall was to the Sox' plans this season, and the lack of a backup plan that comes anywhere close.

I honestly have no idea. There are so many variables. I think it's all going to come down to pitching. Is the rotation going to perform more like '05 or '06? I wish I felt more confident as spring training is coming to a close. My gut tells me that we're looking at 85 wins. I hope my gut is being overly conservative.

The sicko who did this needs to be locked up forever. That kind of cruelty to animals shows that the guy is a complete sociopath. It's also the sort of behavior that a lot of serial killers showed before they moved up to killing people, IIRC.
