  2. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 18, 2007 -> 10:13 PM) So a friend of mine got back from Amsterdam a few months back, after spending a stint there with a bunch of his mates. Told me quite possibly one of the funniest stories I’ve heard. They had picked up some shrooms and acid, and decided to take it in the wee hours of the morning, and spend the day exploring the city while they tripped…sure enough 20min into it, one of the group vanishes. So, after 7 or so hours of struggling to search for their lost friend, they decide it’d be best to head back to their hotel, sober up, regroup, and go looking when the gears worn off and they’d be of more use. lol k Anyway, upon arrival at the hotel, surprise suprise they find their friend standing in the lobby, dazed and staring at the ceiling muttering to himself. Understandably they were all pissed off with him for making them worry and bringing their trip down as a result of their half assed search. However all the friend can reply with is “this f***ing town is full of gremlins!”… They tried to calm him down and tell him that it was the acid making him hallucinate, to which he replied “I knew you’d say that so I captured one and locked it in the bathroom…” lol? as you’d expect they thought he was losing the plot, but he insisted they come to his room and look for themselves. So, they head to the room, and sure enough, the bathroom door is baracaded shut with chairs, lamps, mattress and the bed…they're getting a little worried now, so they cautiously move the furniture away and inch the door open… and?? ...Laying on the floor is a 10 year old kid with Down syndrome grinning ear to ear. lol dude that's f***ed up The mate had come across one of those outing groups or retarded kids - freaked out, balled up one of those poor little bastards carried him back to the room and locked him in the bathroom for proof… lol god man anyway, luckily the kid had one of those ID cards saying “hi my name is Ted, I live at blah blah” lol so yea, took the poor kid to the lobby, called the cops and did a runner before they arrived lol. I obviously cant compete with that
  3. QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 18, 2007 -> 09:48 PM) meh. Ive been wanting to submit one for a while and its hard to come up with anything worthy without scripting it. Its certainly not great but its better than some of the other ones I suppose.

  5. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Sep 18, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) Nah, it's just that any site I go to where people post a video with a description that just says "too funny" (or some variation thereof) will always lead to one of them. But in all honesty it only took 1/2 of one spoof to make me sick to death of it. The real kid is bad enough, but people acting like him is just that much more painful to see for even a second. Would you rather it be a Britney spoof or get Rick Rolled, thats the question here?
  6. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 16, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) I think the best way to root it out is have more sunlight on them. More cameras in the cars, preferably with audio. More civilian review and involvement. Encouraging citizens to report their experiences, good or bad. Things along those lines. And yes, prosecuting cops who break the law, like that moron who beat up that female bartender half his size. Far as I am concerned, not only should that guy lose his job AND be prosecuted for aggravated battery, but the other cops who tried to bully the complainants should lose their jobs too. In this case, though, while I see plenty of room for severe penalties and maybe even a firing, I see no legal grounds for prosecution. What law would you suggest he broke? Well the most obvious is threats. I also dont see how this is something that is even debatable about him losing his job. All jobs are different but can anybody say they wouldnt get fired if they did something this severe and it was caught on tape? If I was a tax payer in the city where this happened and they didnt fire him I would lose it. Whats worse is I bet before this tape surfaced this cop probably took it out on a different person.
  7. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 16, 2007 -> 01:31 PM) This is disturbing. I have a hard time thinking this is real.
  8. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 16, 2007 -> 10:37 AM) He's probably the type of guy who does this regularly. Therefore, I wouldn't shed a tear if he was fired. But, if there are no previous allegations or evidence of wrongdoing, and since he didn't arrest the kid of harm him in any physical way, I would probably give him one shot to show it was a one-time thing. If he has problems previously documented that are anything like this though, then I heartily agree. Fire him. It doesnt matter if he did it once or everyday. This is just about the most serious thing a police officer can do. Its only hearsay at this point but I am led to believe it would have been a lot worse if the cop didnt notice the camera half way through his little rant. This cop not only should have been fired, he should be thrown in jail. Everybody acts so shocked when stuff like this happens but when there arent any major consequences there is little to detur them from doing otherwise. If cops break the oath they take when theyre sworn in they should be arrested, that is the easiest way to clean stuff like this up. For every one cop that gets caught because of video footage I bet theres hundreds that go unnoticed. People I know have personally had police abuse their power for whatever reason and Id assume almost anyone on here knows someone that had the same type of thing happen.
  9. I feel privileged to be part of a message board where everybody looks like celebrities.
  10. Its just insane that that cop didnt get fired. Ill continue to think that they need to have much stricter guidelines for who they allow to be police officers considering how much power they have.
  11. Good thing that kid had Bill Bellickek in the backseat of his car.
  12. QUOTE(Shadows @ Sep 13, 2007 -> 06:31 PM) Man, I wish I could get my internet connection to work so I can add a loss to all of your Madden records Getting online with Madden is good to update rosters and stuff. Id make sure youre just not behind a firewall. Im assuming you have high speed internet
  13. I went to college 6 years too early.
  14. I dont know if any of you guys watched that HBO show Hard Knocks but I think one of the guys on the Chiefs had a torn bicep and was at practice the next day.
  15. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 10, 2007 -> 06:05 PM) Praying for a knee injury? I hope Mike Brown comes back, becomes a more durable player, and is fulfills his talent and turns into one of the best safeties in the league as much as the next guy, but I'm not praying because he tore his ACL. Kevin Everett's life is in jeopardy here, and he's still likely to remain paralyzed if he does live. Yes, a knee injury. Whats the big deal. If someone wants to pray for Brown whos to say its not warranted? Just because there was a more serious injury doesnt mean you cant have compassion for a guy weve been a fan of in Chicago for years. Browns career may be over, at least in Chicago and hes been a fan favorite here since 2000, if somebody wants to pray for him who cares. If you wanna pray for Everett go ahead but that doesnt mean someone else is wrong for wishing the best for Mike Brown.
  16. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 10, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) Sorry, I'm not praying for Mike Brown when a player from the Bills is in danger of losing his life and is likely to be paralyzed. What does one thing have to do with the other? Just because there was a more severe injury on another team we shouldnt wish the best for someone on our hometown team? Thats a little ridiculous.
  17. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 9, 2007 -> 10:10 PM) I am not a Spears fan but people tuned in to see what she did and looked like, if Kanye West opens, nobody cares. Exactly. I didnt tune in either way because I didnt even know it was going on but I would have liked to see Britney be her trainwreck self, but as far as Kanye goes, I think I might want to watch less cuz of him.
  18. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 6, 2007 -> 06:24 PM) Last 3 YEARS, i have finished in 2nd place. My keepers are LT and MacGahee. I'm tired of 2nd! LT and McGahee are my keepers as well, thats pretty odd
  19. QUOTE(mreye @ Sep 7, 2007 -> 08:42 AM) I always take my list to the store, but forget it in the car. You sound like a good candidate for my new invention. The list in the car reminder. Every time you forget something in the car it beeps till you get it.
  20. To be perfectly honest, it makes me relatively sick that this is what a major airline chooses to do. Living in a world where terrorism is around and we have airline employees making it seem stuff like this is a big deal. I mean, did anybody really care what this girl was wearing? Im glad to know that I can fly on an airline where they have to be politically correct on things like racial profiling but theyll single out people like this. I wouldnt fly Southwest Airlines for any reason as it is but after BS like this I absolutely wouldnt want to give them my business.
  21. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 6, 2007 -> 05:56 PM) ARE YOU READY??? This where I start watching my fantasy match ups. Facing the guy in week 1 with Reggie Bush. Go Colts run D!!! I got Bush going tonight!!!! I also am throwing in Gonzalez which is gonna bite me in the ass Im sure. Oh ya, and Vinateiri
  22. How lazy are people getting that you cant even write a grocery list.
  23. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Sep 5, 2007 -> 12:45 PM) I play with the Bears in franchise, im just worried about online having a really horrible offense. I picked up a loss on a disconnect (power surge before the kick off), so im 2-1 and have only given up 1 TD (a pick off returned for 90+ yards). My defense has been good, my offense not so much. The offense isnt really that bad if you know how to maneuver in the pocket. I always start Olsen and make Hester the slot receiver. He normally has a linebacker or safety on him and is open a lot and he surprisingly catches well. I experimented a little with Leak for the scrambling aspect but Im not sure its worth it yet. Also like I said, and I cant stress it enough, they actually managed to portray Hesters return skills and how they can effect a game. It gets to the point where they wont kick to him.
