Maybe the players really like him, how would I know? If that's so, then yeah it's for sure sending a message. Will it make them hit better? Maybe, maybe not. But, it would tell the "multi-millionaire" players that you guys aren't hitting as well as we'd like so Walker goes. Problem with advance scouting, good god yes (!) and has been for a long time.
