  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 03:12 PM) It's a shame this glorious season is being ruined by the Kansas City f***ing Royals. What a joke. Just try to think of Kansas City as just a bump in the road. Well, maybe a huge pothole.
  3. If this game thread wasn't so depressing it would be pretty funny.
  4. QUOTE (Cali @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 02:01 PM) Dammit. I kinda wanted the No-No, then maybe this team would wake up, realize they're in a pennant race and take some f***ing action to get out of the slump. I don't want the Sox being no-hit but if the threat of getting swept at this point in the season against f***ing Kansas City can't wake them up then.....yikes. They're just owned by this lousy team. I don't get it. I haven't watched any of this series because I can't stand to. It's so predictable it's ridiculous.
  5. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) The jinx on the perfect game worked so now I'm jinxing the no no and the shut out And hopefully the loss and the sweep too.
  6. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 10:41 AM) Getting swept by the Royals would be a bit embarassing. So let's score at least one more run then them today I think more than a bit embarrassing. Anyway, let's beat these muthaf***ers!
  7. QUOTE (Greyone @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 10:33 AM) Olmedo. Tomato
  8. QUOTE (Greyone @ Aug 19, 2012 -> 10:33 AM) Olmedo. Tomato
  9. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 06:22 PM) I refuse to watch the Sox play the Royals. Just can't bring myself to do it anymore. Same here. I haven't watched one inning of this series. It pains me too much.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 02:35 PM) Sentence needs clarity Salmon?
  11. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 18, 2012 -> 01:55 PM) Chris Sale by a long shot for me. He was up and contributing so quick that it's almost difficult to think of him as a prospect. It'd be nice if more worked out that way.
  12. Let's not just beat Chen, let's stomp his a$$ into the ground. F*** Chen! F*** the Royals! F*** Kansas City-style barbecue!!!
  13. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 17, 2012 -> 11:18 PM) We'll take the next two, book it. Whew. I'm relieved.
  14. QUOTE (SI1020 @ Aug 17, 2012 -> 04:01 PM) Bob Elson and Don Wells, Harry and Jimmy, Hawk and Wimpy, Rooney and Farmer. Those are my all time favorites. As for the series, a welcome 3 out of 4 against a team that has given the Sox trouble in recent years. Though I had to have heard him, I don't remember Don Wells. I remember and liked Bob Elson and Milo Hamilton though. Bob Elson had an awfully laid-back style but hey, he was a legend.
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 17, 2012 -> 09:53 AM) Hawk would lose that extra energy within the first month. I don't think so. They had that falling out but that's in the past and probably all has been forgiven. They were good friends and had a great chemistry. Though both are older now they still sound pretty good together. No reason it wouldn't continue.
  16. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 17, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) Most of the times all these extra players end up as pinch runners or late game replacements when game is out of hand so don't see the big deal regardless. Exactly. I love the September callups. Always have. It's cool to see a couple of prospects come up and get a taste of the big leagues. They'll only play if you're out of the playoff picture or have it all sewed up. If we're fortunate enough to have some callups who can contribute, all the better.
  17. Who doesn't want to meet up with Greg? Greg, if you're ever in Utah, look me up!
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2012 -> 08:05 AM) Septimo without a doubt. Yep, that's a no-brainer..
  19. KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (Aug. 16, 2012) -- Courtney Hawkins, the White Sox first round pick in this June's draft, came through with the game-winning hit two outs into the bottom of the 13 inning to help the Kannapolis Intimidators defeat the West Virginia Power, 4-3, on Thursday night. It was the first RBI with Class A Kannapolis for the 13th overall pick. Joey DeMichele, the Sox third round selection this year, tied the game with a solo home run (2) in the eighth inning.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 16, 2012 -> 07:59 PM) Sorry, Deetroit Yeah. We're terribly sorry.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 16, 2012 -> 09:46 AM) All the students were 18, but she is still getting charged with a crime? That's bogus. The husband says, "If you know Brittni, you know she's an empathetic loving, loyal person. Brittni is a loving mother and continuously puts the needs of our children above her own,". Ahem, loyal?! I'd love to hear his definition of loyal.
