  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 09:10 AM) f*** the Twins and the horse they rode in on. Yeah! What he said!
  2. Loved Yellowstone, been there a couple of times. this spring my oldest daughter and I drove down to spring training. The Oregon coast was awesome. We spent a day at Joshua Tree National Park in California and I really loved that. Coming back from spring training we saw numerous national monuments and national parks among them, Montezuma Castle, El Morro National Monument (really cool!), Petroglyph National Mon. in New Mexico (a day out of the way, but worth it), Petrified Forest and Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, Arches, Zion and Bryce Canyon. It was a great trip. My daughter took about 4,000 pictures (not kidding!). There was one spot in southern Utah where we drove up a winding road on the side of a mountain with a cliff like you described, Tex. This was a narrow gravel road. I was really scared and would never do that again.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 04:06 PM) Who's the backup catcher? Where's Lilli now?
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 02:18 PM) f*** the Twins and the horse they rode in on. Damn straight. Time for a sweep of own. Get it goin', Gavin!!
  5. I feel like the Sox are still in it. They have played much better than I predicted (.500 or a few games under) but right now at this very minute man, it is hard to watch! There are a lot of concerns, that's for sure. Konerko's slump/wrist; Dunn; rookie bullpen; starting pitchers failing to hold lead; Beckhams anemic bat; etc., etc. But I'm still in.
  6. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 07:29 AM) AJ -Itztlacoliuhqui - god of stone, obsidian, coldness hardness, and castigation. Beckham-Macuilxochitl - the god of games and gambling. De Aza -Huitzilopochtli, meaning "Left-handed Hummingbird' who guided the Aztecs. Peavy-Camaxtli - god of hunting, war, fate and fire. Alexei-Popocatepetl - Legendary warrior Rios-Chalchiuhtotolin (Precious Night Turkey) - god of pestilence and mystery. It is done. A victory today will prove it. Humber: Aztec for "bad".
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:27 AM) Humber experiment needs to come to a end. Today.
  8. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 03:31 PM) Goodbye 1st place may not see it again in 2012. Then again we may see it again tomorrow. But........
  9. The Sox sure need bullpen help and I think Myers can help. I don't care that he may have made a stupid mistake in his personal life what (?) 6 years ago. He may not be Mr. Nice Guy but I don't really care too much. I just want him to pitch well. I hope he does well and unless he pitches like Billy Koch I wouldn't boo him. Considering what the Sox apparently have given up, this is a great move.
  10. QUOTE (Cali @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 12:41 PM) f*** Detroit and f*** FOX
  11. QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 05:53 PM) Nice job by Alex to keep that infront of him. Looking for that double play ball. Or K. Both. One after the other.
  12. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 05:46 PM) ADA is one heck of a scrap heap find. Have to credit KW,scrap heap is his strength. Isn't it weird? DeAza is pretty much like you said a scrap heap find and he's been really good for us. Then you got a #1 pick guy like Beckham......oh well. Back to the game.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 01:41 PM) I sort of don't want to watch after last night. I followed the game but didn't watch even a minute of it. Sometimes you just have a feeling and I had a bad feeling all night. So, although I was disgusted, I don't have that bad feeling of having watched it. I'm ready for tonight and I'll be watching. GO SOX!!
  14. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) Any relation to Bob Veal? That was Veal with an E (Bob Veale).
