The WE GOT THIS Sox/Tigers Sunday THREAD

I personally believe that we got this because, uh, some, uh...teams out there in our nation don't have DeWayne Wise, and, uh, I believe that our team like such as Paul Konerko and, uh, the Sale everyone like, such as and...I believe that they should, win over here in the Detroit, should help the U.S., err, uh, should help White Sox and should help the Chicago and the teams, so we will be able to build up our future for our White Sox. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 01:16 PM) Do you think some of us are too hard on the Sox or do you agree they do some maddening things? I mean isn't it kind of nonsensical to drop so many games to the team you have to beat out? If the Sox threw a win or two in there against Detroit it wouldn't be so f***ing maddening. Or do you think fans like me are way out of line and we should be thrilled we're in the race at all. I just don't understand sometimes why the team is so dysfunctional. Is it asking too much to win the first game of a huge series once in a while, etc?? Educate me. We don’t need no education. We don’t need no thought control. No dark sarcasm in the class room. Teachers leave those kids alone. -
I met a gin-soaked barroom queen in Memphis She had a moist vagina she took the midnight train going anywhere I said train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long Train kept a-rollin' all night long With a heave and a ho Well don't you know that's the sound of the men working on the chain gang Oh, Oh, these chains of love got a hold on me, yeah. One of these mornings the chain is gonna break Chain, chain, chain (Chain...chain...chain..) Chain of fools! Wise Men say only fools rush in You got no money, you got no car, you got no woman, and there you are Sittin' downtown in a railway station, one toke over the line I don't get angry when my Mom smokes pot, Hits the bottle and goes right to the rock She's so high, like Cleopatra, Joan of Arc or Aphrodite Dear mother can you hear me laughing? Mama, I just killed a man A bullet had found him, His blood ran as he cried, No money could save him , So he laid down and he died "Where'd ya get the gun, John?" Told him take off all his clothes and put your penis next to mine And the Bulge in my big big big big big big big big big big big big big big BIG Even though sometimes it's a pain in the ass, I like having a detachable penis. Swingin' to the drums, swingin' to guitar, swingin' to the bass in the back of my car Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm, Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm It's like candy, I can feel it when you walk, even when you talk it takes over me Tequila Truck on down to the candy store, Bust your konk on peppermint candy

Should go with Hendrix just because but I'd say Ritchie Valens because dying at 17 is really a life cut waaaay too short. His recording career lasted 8 months. -

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 09:15 PM) Because the same dialogue exists on other Sox forums. In fact just about every sport forum in existence. You got your happy, happy, joy, joy, posters and your doom and gloom posters. When a team sucks the h.h.j.j. posters always attack the doom and gloom guys because they don't measure up as a fan to the unwritten fabled rules of the h.h.j.j posters. It''s easier to attack a fellow fan than punch Beckham in the nuts. Shoot. I know that. I quit WSI in early 2005 because they seemed to want everyone to be h.h.j.j. posters. I got into an argument with the mods and quit. I guess you didn't understand my question. He alluded to the fact that he was warning everyone on Soxtalk to not panic in 2005 but his personal info sh*t says that he joined Soxtalk in 2008. It just puzzled me. -

And people are getting their panties in a bunch over us losing an all-around ugly game by both teams. Neither team deserved to win this one. Also, I'm starting to get some 2005 vibes around here. Most people on Soxtalk had all but given up on the team that year when the Indians made their late run. I remember I had tried using "logic" to say we were still in good shape by showing everyone the obvious schedule advantage we had and I just got s*** on. Unforunately, pesisimism rules on this website. Just curious how you were posting in 2005 when you joined in November 2008?? Not trying to be a smartass, I'm just wondering. -

QUOTE (zirc @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 12:16 PM) f*** off with the you're not a real fan if you don't like Hawk. Did you need to love Ron Santo to be a true Cubs fan? At least he was just a color guy. I watch the games with the sound off because he literally adds nothing to them and his voice is grating. Actually, I think you DID need to love Ron Santo to be a true Cubbie fan.

QUOTE (Caesar @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 12:09 PM) Most important game of the year so far and I am gonna be forced to watch it at the home of a Cub fan and with a majority of Cub fans. It's our fantasy football draft tonight, Motherf***er.I pray for a win. Bringing my nunchucks, brass knucles and chinese stars just in case. At the home of a Cub fan?! I just threw up in my mouth!! -
QUOTE (Sockin @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 10:45 AM) Our radio broadcasts are by far the worst though. I liked Farmer a lot with Rooney. They made a good team, fun to listen to. But Farmer is brutal at play by play.

QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 07:05 AM) If the Sox ever needed to take a series, this is it. I realize they could lose two games and still have the lead, but imagine leaving Detroit being 4 or 6 games up.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 09:17 AM) Wow x2. Looks like they want Thompson and Hawkins to get some post-season action. And Haddow to AA. Lots of multi-level jumps lately. I don't think I can recall a year with more moving around of our minor-leaguers than this. It's been interesting but a little hard to remember who's where.
