  1. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 18, 2011 -> 12:02 PM) That is crow a lot of us will be willing to eat. I've never had crow before. I like to try new things.
  2. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 03:22 AM) 22 hits. PK with 4 . He's really amazing . Looked much improved running and extended his hitting streak to 12. Morel with 4 also 2 doubles. De Aza 3 hits 2 triples. Flowers hits the ball damn hard when he connects. 5 triples most by a Sox team since 1920 and increased their season total from 8 to 13 in one night. Juan with a HR and the key hit that ended the marathon. Now just a 1/2 game behind the Indians. Just a crazy game and one that was frustrating and a joy to watch. That was both one of the most fun games ever and a typically frustrating game to watch. I would have been really mad, had they lost....which sadly is what I was expecting when it went into extra innings. I thought it was pretty funny when Beckham doubled. It sure looked to me as he went into 2nd that he was thinking triple. Wisely, he held up with the double.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 12:58 PM) Oh I give up with you people. That might be a blessing in disguise.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 16, 2011 -> 11:32 AM) I have a feeling this might be a blessing in disguise. Not sure how that might be.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 15, 2011 -> 06:14 PM) I don't care if he is with the Twins... Congrats to the big man! Well.....I'd say that it sucks that he's on the Twins, but yeah congrats, for sure!!! And for the next couple of days, GO TWINS!
  6. Gotta look forward to Rios batting 5th.
  7. QUOTE (MattZakrowski @ Aug 13, 2011 -> 10:53 PM) Reading this thread before bed was a terrible idea... LOL!!! For me it's those flying monkeys in The Wizard of Oz.
  8. You know, I bet that if Bruce Chen pitched each game this series, the result would pretty much be the same each game. Tired arm or not. The Sox offense is that putrid against certain (most) pitchers.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 01:57 PM) His birth name was John Kennedy Oswald. How f***ed up was that? I see that he was born a little over two months after Kennedy was assassinated.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 12, 2011 -> 08:35 PM) Walker's at least showing the ability to steal bases...but, not unlike Juan Pierre the first 2 1/2 months, it doesn't help if you can't get on base frequently enough. I like that Walker had a couple of assists, throwing a guy out trying to stretch a single into a double and throwing a runner out at 3rd trying to advance on a single. It would seem his arm is just fine. Gotta like that.
  11. I can't believe this s**t....well, yeah actually I can. FIRE GREG WALKER TONIGHT!!!
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 06:55 PM) A lot of Soxtalk folks take baths...... Santos 3 K's on 14 pitches Poor ozzie managaing couldn't hurt them Jenks would've blown the save Good to see them hit I haven't taken a bath in years.
  13. Make room for me on that Alex Rios bandwagon
  14. Zach!!! Love the 4 run 9th. Man, that was nice getting some insurance runs and making the 9th easy going for once. Great beating f***ing Pavano!! GO SOX!!! They're reeling me back in again dammit!
