  1. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) You are right. I try to forget anything that involves her. So am I.I'm regretting the day I heard of Ashlee Simpson,as are so many people on this planet!
  2. He in a better place now.Sorry for your loss. But he's in the best seat in the house above the sky.
  3. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:38 AM) Also, I think Ashley Simpsons performance at the sugarbowl and the subsequent reaction to her performance(if you dont remember, think of the entire Superdome booing her) has scared the people who produce the Superbowl away from contemporary acts. They are just using oldies but goodies because they cant go wrong. Chubby Checker in 1985, anyone? Oh,yeah!Ashlee getting booed was classic!!!! BTW:That was at the Orange Bowl.
  4. QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) :headshake rant/ I swear to god, what do you people want ESPN to do? They give us the national spotlight, give us the attention all of you piss and moan about, and then we get a comment like this. Lets just rename ESPN the white sox channel, maybe then people would stop b****ing. /end rant I think ESPN is renamed the Red Sox/Yankees/Cubs/T.O./World Series of Poker channel. So the dopes at ESPN deserves every bit of crap we throw at them.
  5. QUOTE(BigEdWalsh @ Nov 29, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) I find this weird and kinda sad that the Rolling Stones have been reduced to this. I guess I'm just too old. Could you imagine the Rolling Stones doing this in 1969. What's next? The Copa? What are they gonna perform? Street Fighting Man...Gimme Shelter? Yeah,some people were think that when Paul McCartney did the halftime show last year. Geez,guess "Up With People" wasn't available.They were in Super Bowl XX when the Bears were in it.
  6. QUOTE(Wanne @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) Shocker! Gee...maybe we'll get Berman to do the game! Oh,no!!!!! Don't even think about that idea!!!! It scares me!!!!
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Nov 27, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) I was looking through my old magazines and I found a program from 1996. Ozzie Guillen is on the cover. I was flipping through the pages and found a seating chart with ticket prices. Bleachers 10 years ago were only $12. They are now anywhere from $27-$36, excluding Mondays. Lower Box were only $20, compared to $32-$41 in '06. Upper Deck Reserved were only $4 Monday through Thursday and $8 on the weekends. Interesting to look back on the team, stadium, and farm system 10 years ago. The only guy from our system that was mentioned that is still playing today is Caros Lee. He was in rookie ball. Memories......,like the corners of my mind........ Boy,inflation really made it's mark since then!

  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 12:43 PM) I don't think I'd have the infinity in there, but PK's definately a few steps above Delgado. Yeah,maybe too much.But it's the truth.

GET YOUR ASSES OUT THERE AND VOTE. (This has been a rude public service announcement sponsored by Balta enterprises). Vote in California? You mean Arnold's time as governor is up?

  21. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 09:56 AM) I was kinda wondering if the Sox have any plans to allow fans into The Cell for games 3, 4, 5 of the World Series. It would be awesome to watch the games on the jumbotron with a few thousand sox fans screaming and cheering while watching the games. It would give the opportunity for fans who can't make it to the world series games to take in a little world series atmosphere and enjoy the celebration of the World Series!! I would email Brooks B. about this but I don't have his email address and am too lazy to look it up. So what does everyone else think about this idea? The Sox could still take in some revenue by keeping a few concessions open and charging a small amount to get in, etc. Hummm,the Bears did that in 1986 with Super Bowl XX at the Daily Center with a big TV screen at the front of the building.So,hell.Why not for the Sox?
