  8. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) Hey, I do my son's homework too. Its hard coloring in those lines, but dammit I don't want him to miss recess and blame his teddy bear. I've made some of my precious time available for him between riding my high horse into town and standing on my pedestal. Then he goes over the colors I choose(which are correct) with his mom. Then they rub my feet, place flowers at my golden idol and praise me as I sleep. I know how you feel Juggs. True story. I saw the boy rub his feet..
  9. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) What you should do is send her to college away from home. Have her develop reponsibility. If she fails out of college, and Mrs. Juggernaut cries, then it's time to reassess several things. But you have to take a risk. It can't do it's own homework... no way it gets into college.
  10. QUOTE(SnB @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:55 PM) i declare U of I rules, 19 to get into the bar. Any takers on the over/under before security tosses yer asses this year...? I'm going with 12 minutes

  12. QUOTE(CubsSuck1 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:38 PM) Obviously, having her father do this project for her accomplished nothing in regards to her education, besides keeping her dependent and an idiot. That sums it up nicely.
  13. QUOTE(Steve Bartman's my idol @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:27 PM) I'm thinking about buying a 2006 Impala SS. Anyone know anything about it? Southsider has one (not an '06 though). I know he likes it.
  14. QUOTE(Soxy @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:21 PM) Okay guys, guess who I am: I am the most moral person on the board. I am also the smartest person. I do my child's homework so my wife doesn't cry or nag me. But because I'm doing her work, my kid is now passing. So, not only am I moral and smart, I'm a great parent!!!!! And I make sure she keeps down the "good food"...
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 03:16 PM) Thank god this potential nightmare is over. Yes.. thank God. I don't like it when you freak out like that... BTW.. I have extras for Sunday if anyone is interested.
  16. We have a Vette.. so far, so good. I had a Pontiac Sunbird in high school.. bought the thing with 18 miles on it and the damn head gasket blew before it hit 1000. Had nothing but trouble with it after that. Then I had an Olds Alero.. another piece of s***. Now we have a Galant and Montero in addition to the Vette (which only sees the light of day in the summer...). Both of them have been fine so far.
  17. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) Then you're hanging out with a bunch of losers this weekend... Everyone old enough to be in the bar... :rolly
  18. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:39 PM) I just faced the reality of the situation & choose the route which I can best control with respect to my time commitment. My time commitment is ENTIRELY under my control. Your "time commitment".. "TIME COMMITMENT"... Gee... that's realy nice of you to squeeze the kid into your busy schedule. :headshake
  19. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:40 PM) We'll be hard to miss because you, steve, keith, and myself all have that jacket. Losers
  20. Perhaps your kid has a problem that requires professional help and not it's mommy and daddy doing it's work for it.
  21. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 01:53 PM) Yeah AJ's never been a well liked guy, except by his teammates excluding San Francisco. I've heard from several players that the incidents there were greatly overstated..
  22. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060126/ap_on_.../border_tunnels SAN DIEGO - Authorities said they discovered more than 2 tons of marijuana in a cross-border tunnel that began near the Tijuana airport and ended inside a warehouse on the U.S. side. The 2,400-feet long passageway is longer than most of the 21 cross-border tunnels that have been discovered since authorities began keeping track after the Sept. 11 attacks, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said. "It was like being in a cavern or a cave," said Michael Unzueta, customs special agent in charge in San Diego. The tunnel's discovery prompted the U.S. Attorney's office in San Diego to open a criminal investigation, said Lauren Mack, a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Mexican authorities found the entrance about 100 yards south of the border on Tuesday, and officers on the U.S. side found the exit Wednesday. Mexican officials allowed reporters and photographers, including an Associated Press photographer, into the tunnel late Wednesday. The tunnel was about five feet wide and high enough for an adult to stand inside, had a cement floor, and lights mounted on one of the hard soil walls. It was equipped with a pulley system on the Mexican side. Four tunnels have been discovered this month in the Tijuana-San Diego area, including more primitive tunnel that was also found Wednesday when a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle struck a sinkhole.
  23. QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 11:43 AM) Why all the heat on Curt Schilling? Am I missing something. This isn't the first I have heard about people hating him. Maybe cause everyone knows he lied at the roids hearings...
  24. QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 01:10 PM) Hmmm, I didn't think about that, but maybe. OMG.. funniest thing ever.. I'm in the bookstore the other day and this guy is trying to pick up a gal and he's on the phone (it appeared anyway).. she starts to get impatient so he says "hey.. I gotta go..." to hang up with the person he's talking to... before he can say "bye", his phone RINGS..!!! LMAO.. Hysterical. I almost choked on my coffee.
  25. QUOTE(zach61 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) So we should embrace it and turn the place into a Sox bar then. Let's get the place filled with Sox stuff and have nothing but people wearing Sox Jerseys in there. That's pretty much how it already is these days.
