QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) This show has to have the most tragically flawed characters of any I've ever seen. That whole bag scene was like mixed laughter/disgust the whole time. I can't wait til they wrap up this whole Carver thing but what are they gonna do after that? I hope the writers have figured out a pretty damn good replacement. And that's what makes it so interesting..

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) Check this one out... http://www.johnhanleyartist.com/ Thanks Bri... Jim however will be kicking your ass the next time we see you.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 02:14 AM) Considering that it'll probably be a few hours before she makes an appearance, from everything I've heard Steff say I'd guess the answer to your question would be yes. Of course, if I'm wrong, I'm sure I'll hear about it. Right Steff? Apparently my posts are written in some foreign language...

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 02:03 AM) Steff, from what i have heard Reinsdorf is a very loyal guy. He showed it with Konerko by letting Kenny pay big bucks to keep him. Is he loyal enough to re-sign Frank even if there is a doubt in his mind about his health. Like maybe an incentive laden deal. Forgive me.. kindof.. but I think I've said exactly that several times already. And, again, I don't know where you heard Frank and Kenny are "friends".. but aside from professional courtesy, they are not. "Friends" don't try to trade you away when they think their boss isn't looking... "friends" don't talk s*** about you to the media... and "friends" don't disclose personal rifts. Kenny has been nothing but UNPROFESSIONAL where Frank is concerned.. and was called on it a few years ago at Soxfest - - and admitted as much.

Wow.. several shrimp avoiders.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) sorry but it doesn't seem like consolation at all. Hope Jim gets it though, and here Not at all. Don't care at this point. When the next home grown gets close.. I might care again.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) I don't care about his personality, I care about the cheating. He could be the nicest guy in the world, but all evidence, and even leaked testimony, strongly points to him being a cheating juicer who broke the law and is about to break Babe Ruth's HR number thanks to his breaking of the law. That's what I care about. I don't like having my country represented by a cheater. What leaked testimony are you referring to? Are you mixing him and Giambi up..? Because Bonds came out clear as day and told he was using the cream that he was told was not a roid.. did he lie.. who knows. But what "leaked testimony" was about him...?

Woo hoo.. just won $308 on PartyPoker.Com.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) I know someone who has it on authority (I haven't brought up the subject in over a year though) that Kenny can't stand Frank. Not sure if anything changed there That authority is 100% correct. Kenny tried to trade Frank.. Jerry slapped his hand. From what I know Kenny and Frank have never been "friends". Jerry and Frank have been extremely close his entire career, and got even closer when Frank's agent was killed - Jerry set him up with Arn - and even closer still when Frank's father passed away.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 07:14 PM) Yes but I am saying Kenny would've never done it even if he didn't get hurt. At least IMHO. And what I am telling you... is that where Frank is concerned Kenny has nothing to do with it. Frank deals with Jerry.

Ugh... you gota take Aaron off there. That's absolutely brutal..

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 06:05 PM) No but this time Frank was loyal. The sox weren't loyal to him. I have a feeling that Frank would've taken a big paycut to stay with the Sox. He wanted to stay on the South Side. I have a sick feeling that even if this injury hadn't happened Frank would be gone. KW never liked him. I like Kenny but i think he should've given Frank a second chance. Everybody screws up. He gave A.J. Pierzynski a 2nd chance and look what he has done. When Ordonez didn't show up for those practice's that Ozzie had for him KW didn't go to the media and yell at him. I wonder what Ozzie thinks about Frank being gone. The fact of the matter is that it doesn't matter what Kenny or Ozzie think. If Frank can play.. IF.. Jerry will bring him back in some capasity. The fact right now is that Frank is still walking around in a boot and is still in pain. If the season started tomorrow he would retire. And it's my belief that that's what will happen.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 06:53 PM) DO you say that because of in house rasises or incoming players? In house and 1 more incoming..

QUOTE(CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) I wonder just how many of those seats were bought by brokers or investors looking to capitalize on another World Series or or increased interest in the Sox. My bet is over 50%. Since at season end they were only 1/4 sold for '06.. you'd be a bit off.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 03:55 PM) I love seeing the word victim being associated with Michael Irvin. Funniest thing I've read all day. ASSume much..? He is the offender in this case. Common sense..

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 04:02 PM) Sounded to me like he wants to get it out of the way so he doens't have to go through it everyday that he has a bad day or if he's in a slump. I'm sure he doesn't want to talk about it every day.. but the facts are the facts. We'll be damn lucky if he holds out to 32..

How has a "thanks FT" thread turned into complaining about him..? Good grief..

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) Either way, I'm in stunned disbelief. I never thought I'd see the payroll after winning the World Series rise to $85M. It's going to be higher..

QUOTE(ptatc @ Nov 30, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) Sorry, if some people have replied but I haven't read the entire thread yet. The surgery for his back will not require him to miss a year. The typical rehab is 3-6 months. I do not know if he has had surgery. Someone (i think Steff) said he was definitely going to have it. I haven't heard that personally but the rehab isn't long compared to others. 3-4 months is what I heard. As of Friday 11/18 he had not yet had it. I'll see if I can get an update.
