  1. QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 08:01 PM) I do not appreciate the lololol's. I never did that before and i was proud of that fact. Now that i have there is no reason for me to continue posting on soxtalk. qwerty.. allow me to apologize for them picking on you... NOT.
  2. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) There are way too many players who offseason in foreign countries and have no idea what they're taking. Imagine if one of the big marquee players accidentaly take something that sets off a false positive or they're slipped something on accident... then baseball has to fight a 2 year suspension mandated by federal law? That's going to be a nightmare for PR whether it was a legitimate failure or not. No excuse. They make enough $$ to have anything they even think about putting on or in their bodies checked out BEFORE they do it.
  3. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) you know what i don't care if you believe me or not. In fact I don't give a f*** what you think about me or anything? I get good grades, I have a good life, I have a great girlfriend, and a lot of friends. So Steff, Kalapse, qwerty, and the rest of you guys who try to make my life miserable. You aren't. If you don't like me ignore me. However please stop trying to personally attack me everytime i have a thought. Because it doesn't bother me. It just shows stupid you guys are being. Kid.. it aint picking on you. It's called debating an issue WITHOUT posting comments that, without source - which means unless that Bulls trainer comes on here, giving his name & credentials (or you are welcome to post them and those who care can ask him themselves) and exactly what he found/saw (which aint gonna happen unless he is confident in his accusations enough not to care about being called out, sued, and never working in the medical sports field again..) are bulls***. Maybe he did come to your school.. maybe he did tell you this s***.. maybe, maybe, maybe... Then comes the maybe that you might have enough common sense to know that you don't always repeat s*** you hear in confidence, and you definitely don't call out that source. Anyone who reads this board - and there are several lurkers who are affiliated with the press and pro sports teams - could take the info you posted and research it enough to find out if your FOS (my opinion) or if.. big IF IMO, you are relaying the truth could find this "trainer", and roast his ass. Apparenty YOU don't give a s*** about a professional losing his job and YOU being responsible for destroying his career.... but others here do see the malice and lack of judgement on YOUR part and if you could take some constructive advice rather then seeing it as people picking on you.. your stay here would probably be much more enjoyable. And finally.. apparently you DO care what we say and think because more often than not you are whining about what we say. Don't like it, YOU ignore those of us you feel are picking on you.. otherwise, suck it up. It's a message board kid.
  4. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) Jason Giambi? Sportsman of the year? Are you f***ing kidding me? SI is a complete joke. He won comeback player of the year also.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) DId you ever find it? Uhhh.. I didn't get a chance to look.
  6. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) I took "Yellow Jackets" a couple of times in college(because I was sick of passing out before 4 in the morning and missing all the funny stuff), and I can tell you that the result was not worth the risk. I felt off, nervous, I grinded my teeth, never felt comfortable, and felt my heart racing. I have no doubt in my mind that ephedra messes with your heart, i dont need a doctor to tell me its bad. I'm guilty of taking some suppliments with ephedra a few years ago.. I remember I was jittery for hours. And I took less than the recommended doseage. Lord.. I would have been flying - literally - if I took as much as they said to.
  7. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:42 PM) That was the only bit of sincerity I used in that post. I wasn't sure if he really hadn't tested positive, but just admitted usage.
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 04:35 PM) Oh yeah, he never actually tested positive. I'm pretty sure this is true. He admitted he took them - if you believe the GJ leak (I do)- but never tested positive that I read.
  9. Gold Glove World Series Trophy No contest for me.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxownyou @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) Thanks man. I appreciate it. I got the audio to work but not the video. I guess it is my computer. I got audio but no video as well.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) I'm not familiar with the side effects...so is it possible for there to be any real long term damage? Something that might cause an irregular heartbeat or some other heart problem? IIRC, it damages the heart muscle from the "racing" effect the pills are taken for.

  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) My top bands are prob PJ, Sublime, Zep, Stones, I was hooked on them 7 or so years ago.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) So....for you guys who know Bruce, would you like a cookie? Eh.. it aint worth an unsweetened chocolate chip.
  16. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 01:05 PM) do you even know Bruce? I have talked to him before not on the air and one of my friends is his cousin. And I asked him about this and he said the only difference would be him not being on the pre and post game shows. Sadly, I do. Kudos on your association.. however I'm going to believe what came out of Bruce's mouth and not a friend of a friend of a friend.
  17. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) Woohoo! I can see the last half now - thanks for posting! YW.. and congrats.. and what are you doing here..??
  18. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2005...TC-DT9705204233 CHICAGO -- The city of Chicago and Eli's Cheesecake presented the mammoth dessert to White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen and team owner Jerry Reinsdorf on Tuesday. The cake was decorated with a large baseball and a White Sox hat in honor of the World Series champions. Guillen says he's pleased and thankful for all Chicago has done for him. He and Reinsdorf are at City Hall today where they're being honored for their accomplishments this year. Also.. From the Trib: Quote: CHICAGO -- White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen and team chairman Jerry Reinsdorf passed by City Hall last Friday during the tickertape parade down LaSalle Street celebrating their World Series championship team. On Tuesday, Guillen and Reinsdorf are scheduled to come inside, where they will be honored by the City Council and Mayor Richard Daley. In the lobby of City Hall the League Championship and World Series trophies were on display but that ended at noon today. Per some folks at WSI who went down there they were told both would be back in a few weeks.
  19. For those that haven't see it.. they are replaying it Thursday at 7pm.
  20. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:46 PM) look at Kid Gleason's response. I did. Excellent use of common sense. You should print it and read it every night before bed.
  21. QUOTE(Lefty Of Love @ Nov 1, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) I have tried to get a hold of them re: split-seasons, and it sounds like they aren't on sale yet either...a rep told me once they get the seat locations for the hit-and-run and double-play plans, she will let me know, FWIW Sounds right. Take care of the existing and upgrading customers, and the new full season folks, first.
  22. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view...rticleid=109394 Paul's agent hints differently.. "Paul lives in Arizona and probably would prefer something near there but he wants to play on a good, contending team, for a manager he likes and in a city he likes, plus he wants a deal for as much length as possible, like five, six or seven years,” agent Craig Landis said yesterday. “So the Red Sox are not out of it at all, in my opinion....."
  23. We know that Bruce is employed by AM1000 and they will no longer have coverage of the Sox, and that Bruce himself on the air with his own voice from his own mouth questions his role as "baseball insider" next year. I'd say that's a pretty good source. No, I'm not a rep of hers. It's kinda sorta a "what a stupid comment" jab that I use when someone takes crystal clear comments from a horses mouth and attempts to spin them into something that couldn't be farther from the comments made.
