Just a couple things I know are fact.... She tried to commit suicide last year - right before the All Star break. It had to do with the fact that Sammy has a second apartment - in the same building - where he, and his "friends" pretty much live. They have led separate lives for all of the 6 years I have visited the building and seen with my own eyes this arrangement. Caring family man...? Yeah, just like Michael Jordan.

Sure, he cheated -- but he's getting hammered for something that many other players do -- maybe even some on our team. That doesn't make what he did right -- but it also shouldn't make him public enemy #1. He got unlucky, bottom line. Yeah, OK. So where does this happy about someone else's failures and misfortunes come into play. He caused the problem. End of story. He knew the risks. He took the risks. How's it go.. you play, you pay? Don't do the crime if you can't do the time? Etc, etc...

Failures? Misfortunes? Correct me if I am wrong but aren't failures and misfortunes things that are usually uncontrollable? Usually not caused intentionally BY the person trying to succeed or create fortune for themselves? Sosa brought this all on himself. He lied. He cheated. He is a fraud. Geezus.. they are ripping him a new asshole!! I have a comment on the roids issue.. Many people inject drugs (herion, coke, roids) into their feet as to hide usage. I was told in 1997 that he was using bad. I have no reason to doubt the information.

And I have to say.. some good calls today. One guy just was on. Of course first comment was to rip the Sox - which they deserve, but the second was a list of questions that the media should have asked Sosa.. 1. Where did you get the bat? 2. How long have you had the bat? 3. Didn't you realize while in the on deck circle warming up that you had the wrong bat? They also brought up a good point that any other bats that might have been corked were likely cleared out before the ups even were done meeting on the field. I know they took 67 bats last night.. wonder if there is an inventory of how many were actually there. I know the Sox keep a very detailed inventory of all player items.

I can't find any where anything stating that there are allowed in any facet of the game. I think he was just trying to divert attention.

Funny you should metion this.. I just got off the phone with a friend who said the same thing. I made a post a loooong time ago that Sosa was corkin'. I got the tip from another player who was corkin'. He swore to me they were using the same guy. I have no reason to doubt that information now.
