QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 03:41 PM) Still not clear on Friday's. But I hope they do change that to a weeknight as far as ticket prices are concerned. I seriously doubt it though. Friday's are 7:11 as well.

QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 03:59 PM) In regards to what Rhodes said? I think it's relevant just because it shows that someone has already mentioned a while ago that he's a reckless pilot. Though there is no proof and all witness accounts state the plane appeared to have mechanical issues. I don't see the point in s***ting on the guy. And if it's not true, it's libel. Or is there a direct quote from AR....

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 03:48 PM) Well Dan Bernstein is now saying that Cory Lidle was in the plane. This is pretty horrible. Very. Would you mind altering the hearsay you posted above?

4 confirmed deaths now.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 03:14 PM) This is so retarded.... White Sox.com Link Still not clear on Friday's. But I hope they do change that to a weeknight as far as ticket prices are concerned. I seriously doubt it though.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) I don't see where they are discussing family finances. Do you mean discussing how to save money for a purchase? They never discuss the family's finances. #'s 1and 2 specifically inquire about saving money for the chosen "major expense" and preparing a budget based on expected income. NOYFB, MYOFB, and the ever important, IMO. Let's move on. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) Where else can a 16 year old talk to a CPA for a couple hours for free? I don't think they really care. And I don't think that's a stretch of a guess.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:42 PM) The counselor we use the most happens to be a Senior VP at a bank here, the other is a CPA with one of the better accounting firms. Still creepy? Yes, very creepy. Family finances are family issues and none of anyone's business that doesn't contribute to the paying of the bills or a paid financial advisor who the family seeks for help. This requirement for this merit badge is nothing more than being nosey, IMO. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:42 PM) People will still accept the risks. They will believe that promotion will happen. They will believe that interest rates will decline in five years. They will believe their home will appreciate in value at the current rate. They will believe in anything. And some will have a comprehension problem. If they believe all the above, then they fall into the comprehension problem range.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:21 PM) But at the same time, the Sox are going to get an extra 1.5 million because they bumped the start time up 6 min. Seems like a good deal to me... Or back...
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) However, even with that, ARMs would still attract a number of victims. If you have a severe comprehension problem, perhaps.
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) personal management. Discussing family finances with a boy scout counselor.. that is just plain creepy, IMO.

Kids are not concerned or interested with buying a house while still in school. That would be the "catch up on sleep class". There should be a idiot proof packet that every bank, broker, and home builder gives out to any potential buyer. Pats them on the ass, sends them home to study, and they return when they can tell the bank, broker, and seller what they want.

Hell will freeze over before ARod waives his NT clause.

$500K may cover the cost of TP for the '07 season.

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 10:12 AM) Oh yeah, I forgot about those damn Friday 7:35 starts - I'll be happy to see those go the way of the dodo. Friday is considered a "weekend". Does that article specify? I'm not registering, and there is no confirmation of this anywhere else including WhiteSox.com.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 10:19 AM) I should have been clearer, the $25,000 difference was the down payment. And I was thinking more along the lines of conventional purchase than auction. At auctions, and I have known a couple people who have been in this line of work, the bidders I've known have lines of credit established, secured by other equity. You are correct, getting approved for an auction sale would be almost impossible without independent collateral. Thank you for the clear up
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:52 AM) The money depends on your credit history and resources. Buying a home with a good downpayment, decent credit score, and work history is easy if you aren't stretching too far. If the bank loans you $175,000 on a $200,000 home, it is almost impossible for them to lose money on the mortgage. Remember, they keep the equity. No bank is giving anyone $5 without some type of collateral no matter what your credit history, job history, or credit score to take to an auction and maybe buy a house.
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:39 AM) Actually not as hard as you might expect. Most lenders will have a pre-approval process. But the foreclosure market is not as easy as it looks. You are against professionals who do this for a living. They have trained eyes for spotting issues, and know the market conditions. While the money might be easy to get - which I don't believe from what I know - getting into the auction is not. Those interested must meet a set of qualifications to participate. There are registration materials and a collateral or a bond must be provided.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:31 AM) Will split season ticket holders get them too or just full? Idunno...
-
QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:32 AM) wait, so to get a foreclosed home, I have to have a check ready to pay? I cant take out my own loan? Don't think so. I do believe it's just like siezed vehicle auctions. Cash and carry.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:29 AM) It does take a while for residential property to end up on the market, I want to say something like a year, at least in IN... I don't know if it is different in IL or in commercial property. I would call the courthouse of whatever county the property is in, because odds are the auction will happen there. My guess was at least a year.

QUOTE(That funky motion @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:13 AM) I got home yesterday and there was a box from the White Sox. Inside was every giveaway they had all year. There was 3 hats, a little jersey,a large WS trophy, flag ,cards,a ring and a ton of other things. Did anyone else get this. What a nice touch! Yea. We got ours on Saturday. We (ST holders) have been asking them to do this for years - the Bulls used to do it (they may still, but we are no longer bulls ticket holders so I don't know) and it was a little thing that went a long way.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2006 -> 09:14 AM) Not at all. In fact the whole differences of the way society views that its cool for an old guy to hit on a young girl is pretty discusting if you ask me.
