QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 11:37 PM) You need to be the first on your block sporting a #9 GOULD jersey, the guy is the best around he needs to be immortalized in fan-jersey form. Or if you want to be REAL cool you could get a #65 MANNELLY jersey and drive all the girls wild. Gould was actually the one I was considering today while watching the game, it would serve 2 purposes. Not only would it represent the Bears, but it would also piss off my brother, a PSU fan who hated Gould for his complete sucking in college. The other thought was Hunter Hillenmeyer, although I don't know if it would be worth it since he's the most replaceable part of the defense IMO.

I've been having trouble deciding who my next Bears jersey will be, and as much as I love the big names, I don't want to go with one of them. Maynard would actually be a pretty kickass jersey to get..

Also, why has no one mentioned the Last Waltz? Great album/movie

QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 17, 2007 -> 11:14 AM) Illinois is going DOWN tonight *sigh* We played heartless for the first half and change, but at least made it a game in the second half. I thought we had a chance when the intentional foul was called, but oh well.. at least it was fun towards the end. The real story of the game was Tim Brewster at halftime, telling me everything I wanted to hear. He said that we are going to do one thing: recruit, recruit, recruit. He said he's going to get the players to play balls out (other words of course) every Saturday, and we said we're going to go to Pasadena. Great guy it seems, especially if both his sons (especially Clint this year) end up coming here -

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Jan 16, 2007 -> 11:44 AM) Colts will win with ease, thats just my guess. Seconded. I like how the Colts are winning so far this postseason.. defense first and foremost. I think that makes the difference in the upcoming game.

This is a really cheap signing for Joe

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 6, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) ISU strikes down Mizzou in Columbia, 66-65. So, Mizzou ball, up 1, 11 seconds left. Mizzou inbounds, and Hannah travels in the corner. ISU ball with 7 seconds.....inbound to Clark who goes up, passes it to Taylor in midair who launches up a 3, misses it, and Wesley Johnson grabs an offensive board and puts it in with 2 seconds left. Mizzou didn't have a shot. Missouri was up 54-40. I wish he could have done that in the ISU/UMN game earlier this year... -

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 11:47 PM) Hah. Who's going to guard Tucker? No offense, but I'd say there's very few players in the country who can guard that guy. And if you don't find someone who can D him up, you're hoping on him having an off-day. Just wait and see. And if I'm wrong, ignore both of my posts -

QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 05:20 PM) f-off. point being, uribe isnt as great of a defensive SS as you think and Cintron isnt as poor. Offensively Cintron is far superior to Uribe. im not saying that fielding % is the only gauge of defensive skills, however from a fielding % comparison they are equivilent. Also from a fielding percentage comparison, they are as good as Ozzie Smith. Its a horrible way of analyzing defensive players. Its not that hard to understand.

f***. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) Uribe's career fielding percentage is .975 Cintron's career fielding percentage is .974 in 2006, Cintron's (SS) fielding % was .973 in 2006, Uribe's (SS) fielding % was .977 in 2005, Cintron's (SS) fielding % was .966 in 2005, Uribe's (SS) fielding % was .977 in 2004, Cintron's (SS) fielding % was .972 in 2004, Uribe's (SS) fielding % was .983 in 2003, Cintron's (SS) fielding % was .979 in 2003, Uribe's (SS) fielding % was .972 so for every 600 fielding chances (approx Juan's amount last year) Alex would have made approximately 2 more errors all season. while at the same time, Alex would have had 23 more hits all season and would have been on base 26 more times than Juan all season. By that logic, they are each on par with Ozzie Smith and his career .978 fielding percentage. Solid work there.

QUOTE(Fotop @ Jan 3, 2007 -> 11:19 PM) So if you're an LSU fan, you're going to discredit your own great victory by saying you beat a "lesser" opponent? Because that's exactly what you're doing by saying your opponent is overrated. It's rather simple logic, actually. Also, LSU is rated higher. I mean really, you're a friggin 10pt favorite. You're expected to do this. Notre Dame didn't deserve to be in a BCS bowl. The LSU fans realize this, and chant "overrated". Its not moronic at all.. Also, in a BCS bowl, no one is expected to win by nearly 30 points. Thats the point of the BCS... to make the games competitive. -
