QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 4, 2008 -> 08:47 PM)
Seriously...those are horrendous and getting extremely old.
Everyone loved them when they first started. Maybe not you, and certainly not me, but a LOT of people here liked them.
Yes they suck.
Not job by Masset

Following the game on gamecast - what happened to prevent the Sox from getting the 4th run?
Ramirez didn't tag home.
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 07:05 PM)
According to Bruce Levine, people close to Ozzie said he spent the last 48 hours contemplating if he still wanted this job. Obviously, he must have decided that he does.
He does that every year.
QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 07:00 PM)
Nothing is going to happen.
Yeah. Oz is complaining for KW to do something, KW is saying Oz has to do something, the players won't do anything, etc. Same old.
QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 04:26 PM)
For today's game...
F you Dye
F you Konerko
F you Crede
F you Ozzie for not PHing Q for Swish in the 10th.
Please seperate Thome and Konerko in the line up somehow.
You can separate Thome and PK, but you also need to separate them from Swisher. Kinda tough to separate 3 guys when all deserve to be at the bottom of the order.
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 04:18 PM)
And we lose on an 0-2 pitch. This team deserved to lose. Fire Greg Walker immediately, and you suck Ozzie!
The offense was manhandled and Ozzie shows that he has no clue how to manage in a close game.
13 f***ing hits and 3 runs. I don't even know why I'm mad anymore. This is the offense and I should expect disappointment.
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 03:25 PM)
Nice at bat for Thome. He needs to be in swing hard in case you hit it mode.
When is he ever not in that mode?
QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 03:26 PM)
Should be PRing for Thome. If Paulie gets a single and Thome doesn't score, I'll be pissed.
Obviously that won't be a problem.
When was the last time the Sox had a really good second half? I can't remember any. When the Sox go to the playoffs they tend to get a huge lead and stumble to the finish line. My concern is that Cleveland seems to be a second half team. If the Sox don't get a lot more game on the division, they will have a lot of work to do.
Face it, these guys aren't going to hit any better. But with the pitching, they have a chance if they can just muster enough offense.
I saw Indy and Iron Man in a double feature last weekend. Indy was absolutely brutal. Like, epically brutal.
Iron Man was really entertaining.
Meanwhile, I had to see Sex and the City today with the girlfriend. Let's hope I never have to deal with that again.
