If someone said back in March, that this team would be in 1st and 2.5 games ahead of DET, and in a good WC position, on August 1st... what kind of responses would they have gotten?

Probably the best move. Septimo is an actual LOOGY, which they needed. Santiago will likely be a starter in the future, and had control issues. Yeah I saw that too, and its kinda bizarre. Molina #1? Marinez #8? Semien #9? Wilkins 12? Blanke 13? And how do Silverio and Short even make the list - Short hasn't even played this year and he was marginal last year is it was.

Here's another roster scenario to consider... they start 6 AND have 7 in the pen. Bench of only three: Flowers C and 1B, Hudson skill IF positions, Danks all OF. Not likely, but possible, at least short term.

I think the most interesting thing with him is that he pitched 4 innings the other night. Possible they may be stretching him out with the intent of him starting in 2013.
