QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 03:15 PM) Thome was announced as a pinch hitter and the Cubs went to the bullpen to bring in a lefty, so Guillen brought Fields to the plate and now he walked. It wasn't a bad idea... we could have delivered a death blow. Who are we gonna see here in the 8th?

I really wish I knew if Beckham is gonna keep #15, as I'd really like to order a jersey IMMEDIATELY.

QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ Jun 18, 2009 -> 02:12 PM) You mean other then the Getz error and Alexei bobble... Well yeah, not including Alexei.... still cant figure out why he can't make a decent throw to Konerko. Obviously the error earlier in the game was all on Getz. I'll chalk it up to a bad sausage mcmuffin. DAMNIT GAVIN! Stop F'in around!

Bold prediction: Game gets postponed in bottom of 6 tied 0-0 Quentin wins game with a walk-off on September 3rd. It will be one of the weird instances where a game scheduled for 6/18 finshes before a game scheduled for 6/16 and played on the same day.

Let Zambrano be all pumped up... the second we walks 2, he deflates and goes apes***.

I've been meaning to get this for my iPhone. How is the quality for radio broadcasts? It's wondeful the iPhone is great for so many things, unfortuanately talking is not one of them. So just so I'm on the same page, this is the 9.99 MLB app which will give you radio feed for any game, MLB at bat and certain video feeds of games? That's a helluva deal if so. I got the CBS NCAA app during March Madness and it's been my favorite app ever thus far, getting to watch live streams of tournament games from anywhere was pure bliss.

QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 16, 2009 -> 04:13 PM) Is it just me or does every Game Thread seem to be filled with the worst amateur weathermen ever? I'm pretty sure every single one this year has included the phrase "Doesn't look like they're gonna get this one in" at some point. It's not just you... Somebody predicted rain showers all 3 days in Milwaukee. The roof was open for all 3. It seems our fans are rather paranoid about rain delays and pending weather at games this year, and with the spring/lack of summer weve had, I can't overly blame. This game might have a small delay to start, but I'd be very surprised if they don't get it in... unless this radar changes drastically -
QUOTE (BFirebird @ Jun 16, 2009 -> 12:47 PM) I am pretty sure Jose could not bring in one of those guys, but Jose would be pretty filthy in the NL. Jose is pretty filthy anwhere as long as he doesn't succomb to his personal kryptonite: BoB

Most beer is generally much cheaper at Wrigely (except Old Style) than it is at the Cell, so in some respects, it's actually a discount to go to Wrigely and drink. Levy Restuarants have a contract with Wrigely concessions, so really they are the ones making most profit, though income is somewhat shared still even though a contract is in place.

The noon forcast looked a helluva a lot better than the one I saw this morning at 8am. Still a great chance for a shower tonight, but they'll wait this one out for sure. -
I saw one pretty bad fight yesterday after the game with a group of young Sox fans and older Brewers fans. Some of these younger Sox fans were talking s*** for awhile after the gmae yesterday in the lots, drinking out the back of their pick-up truck. Actually it seemed Sox fans were over-served everyhwere all weekend, and I was one of them. Anyways, these Sox fans ended up jumping out of their pick-up and started to whip beers/beer cans at these Brewers fans before Milwaukee policy could rectify the situation. It was really the only melee I saw all weekend though, and was hopig for the best after I've heard what can go on up there when the Cubs fans try to take over the park. I think the Sox faithful behaved well for the most part though, and it was a good series for both sides of fans. I think everyone relied a bit too much on hey at least we have hating the cubs in common!!! I'm quite sure the bootlegers made a few coins selling the Cubs Suck shirts in the lot all weekend. Great time though. I absolutely love going up to Miller Park, I've never had a bad time there. Been to already 4 games this year, and I'm sure I got at least 1 more bobblehead day in me.

QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 15, 2009 -> 03:09 PM) To the people who booed him at the park, you know who you are. Shame on you. Somebody needed to say it. Thank You. Contreras has got way too much backlash from White Sox fans over the years that he simply does not deserve for all the dedication and innings he has given to this organization. The Wise hate is one thing and justified, booing a guy like Contreras just makes our fanbase look stupid. Not that I should waste too much time arguing it, the next time he goes out and walks 2 in an inning, the same following loser fans will be right there again up front to BOO as loud as they can. Some fans just love to hate because they get satifaction out of being right... "see I told ya he sucked." Either way I never could quite understand why people were so quick to jump off Contreras... and it's not that most of you expected more out of him, you just thought it was awful that he was still around here and blamed the front office for being neglegent. On the other hand, nobody ever claimed our fans to be so overly intelligent either. Either way, it sure is great to see Jose right back where he belongs. , Noob Saibot.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 12, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) I'd bet you that the fact that one of Ozzie's guys is getting booed for sucking directly relates to why he made that statement about Beckham getting cheered. Yeah, I'm sure that's it.... you must all think Ozzie was born yesterday?
