  1. Erstad CF Ozuna 2B Dye DH PK 1B Mack RF Crede 3B Sweeney LF Uribe SS Molina C Not bad... I can live with it, anyhow. Time for the offense to really kick it in gear...
  2. They should get this one in tonight, I don't think the rain is supposed to be that bad. Just annoying... That being said.... f***ing win!!! AGAIN!!!
  3. Danks Hell of a pitching effort by him. Just finally got to see the replays of his K's. He was making them look silly!
  4. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 15, 2007 -> 07:34 PM) He might be but we don't know that. AAAnderson lights it up down there. Comes up and is terrible. From what I understand, it's a terrible league with a lot of terrible players. It's hard to measure much. That he's getting hits is positive, but I want to see how he reacts to Major League pitching. Glad he's doing well in AAA, though. He's getting hits in game situations, AAA pitching or not. After being off for the better part of 2 months, I think its a great foot forward.
  5. On a side note, while we wait... Toby Hall tonight 2-2, 2 singles, 2 RBI Jim Thome tonight 0-1, 1BB Hall seems to be getting it together nicely.
  6. QUOTE(Capn12 @ May 15, 2007 -> 06:16 PM) Its either Mack, or: Pablo Gustavo M0-4lina Andy Straight outta Charlotte Luis Best PRunner EVER!! Terrero... Yeah, our options really are that bad. I know...its awful. It was more rhetorical, really. Though I think I would almost rather see Ozuna... Hopefully Mack will get it together.
  7. Per Reifert: Tonight's Lineup Erstad, CF; Uribe, SS; AJ, C; PK, 1B; Dye, RF; Mackowiak, DH; Crede, 3B; Iguchi, 2B; Sweeney, LF. Danks on the hill. For New York Damon, DH; Jeter, SS; ARod, 3B; Posada, C; Matsui, LF; Phelps, 1B; Abreu, RF; Cabrera, CF; Cairo, 2B. Mussina pitching. Why-oh-why do we have to watch Mack in the lineup again tonight???
  8. QUOTE(greg775 @ May 13, 2007 -> 10:44 PM) Why does Sweeney get a free pass from everybody for his lousy at bat today with the bases loaded against DeLaRosito Stiffmeister? No one is giving him a free pass. But to call him out for sucking in a clutch situation is wrong, simply because there is not a person on this team coming through in those situations. Hell, Elarton got let off last night with bases loaded twice, with Mack grounding out and I think Erstad popping out. This whole team is having lousy at bats. But right now, Sweeney is one of the ONLY ones patiently going up to the plate with some sort of approach. Taking pitches, being smart, and just trying to get base hits. Meanwhile, most of the rest of these stiffs are stuck in Tuesday night softball mode, swinging for the fences with every possible effort. Then we get to hear excuses like "they are trying TOO hard" or "they are putting too much pressure on themselves." Its crap. Mechanically, most of our team looks like s*** right now and that is why none of them are getting good at bats.
  9. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 13, 2007 -> 10:28 PM) I would keep both of them and send down either Logan or Masset. Why? You don't need both of them. Masset doesn't need to go down either, because who fills your long relief then? Mike Mac? No way, especially given his sporratic pitching of late. Ozzies bulls*** reason was that (more or less) because of the way Terrero scored from second Saturday night, that is why he loves him and wants him to stay up. I call bulls*** on this one. For one, he got a LATE ASS break on the play and Teahan's throw just happened to be off the mark. He very easily could have been thrown out as well. Furthermore, I would go as far as to say that Sweeney would have also been able to get there from second as well. I don't want to keep Terrero up and let the Mac/Pablo disaster take over in left, only to have a bench guy who has contributed nothing (other than a solo home run) since he came up. Keep your outfielder of the future up, getting some time and experience...
  10. He went 1-4 today with a solo HR and a K against Norfolk. I really can't wait for him to get back up to speed and get here. I can't take much more of Molina....
  11. I just got home from this game tonight.... Despite the fact that the offense made me want to vomit, this was a FANTASTIC win. We were dead as a door nail until grindErstad got us started and Juan missed a walk-off by inches. Thankfully we were able to string together some hits in the 10th. Overall, not a pretty win, but f*** it, it was a win no less.... Hopefully we break the brooms out on these pricks tomorrow and call it a day...
  12. JG AJ I will be there tomorrow night, lets keep the f***ing mojo going...
  13. Great game today!! Jose Ryan Sweeney He needs to stay up with this team, period. His confidence in RBI situations right now is awesome.
  14. Once again... Just f***ing win!! Count needs to stay out of early trouble and the boys need to keep the bats alive.... Lineup- Grindey- DH Pablo- 3B AJP- C Kong- 1B JD-RF Mack-LF Gooch-2B Sweeney- CF Uribe- SS
  15. Great game by him all the way around! I really really like this kid. He has a bright future with us for sure!! Congrats on the first W!!
  16. He makes grinding look soooo good, yet sooo easy...
  17. Grindey hits are sexy. Nice pop out Dye...
  18. Just f***ing win. Give Danks some run support. Don't piss me off tonight...
  19. QUOTE(BearSox @ May 8, 2007 -> 11:41 PM) I know you don't want to burn out Javy's arm, but at a divisional rival, you have to let Javy pitch, IMO. I am a big supporter in letting the pitchers pitch, and I really felt this was one of those times. Send him out to begin the 8th, and see what happens. Let him have maybe 10-13 more pitches, with Mac and Thornton warming up behind him. If he throws a lot of pitches or struggles a little, then take him out. If not, let him finish the inning. And then put Bobby in the 9th. Javy pitched fabulous tonight. But I don't blame this on Ozzie at all. When the team has a 4-1 lead going into the eight, it nobody to blame but the players. Sure some of the IBB's were questionable, but this wasn't Ozzie's fault at all. He wasn't the one who left a cookie belly-button high to Morneu. I am with you on this one. He should have been let to start the 8th at least. He was dealing. This whole loss was a f***ing joke, and I am trying to get myself used to a season of them. There is no reason in the world we had to use EVERY bullpen pitcher we have, save for a few, in this game. Between poor managerial decisions and inept execution, this game was a clusterf*** from the 8th on. Its getting old. They had this game signed, sealed, and delivered, despite the 800 hanging curveball's that Bonser threw up there. There was no reason to lose this one.
  20. Let's keep the ball rolling.... Go get 'em Javy!!! EDIT: I REALLY hope Juan returns to SS tomorrow, as I don't know if I can take another day of watching Cintron play a full game there.
  21. 3 months...Wow, this hurts their pen. Can't say I am too broken up. Story
