  1. JD + Base stealing= YIKES! Thank god that throw was off...
  2. Nice job Big Jim...way to make up for that last K.
  3. Nice work AJ.... That was Cub baserunning... And it cost us a run....
  4. Get the f***ing bats off of your shoulders, please!
  5. It is getting really f***ing old watching these assholes strikeout looking...
  6. The worst part of all of this for me, based upon the moves that will come Monday per Oz, I will get to see half of this crappy bullpen again when I am in Louisville Tuesday, watching Charlotte play the Bats. Ooh, and as an added bonus, I may get to see Prancer doing his rehab too!! I am not sure what to do here, as I continue to go back and forth. This much is for certain, something needs to happen now, as we can't keep trotting the same broken horses out of the barn.
  7. Its time to turn this off and go work on the yard.... This is disgusting.
  8. This bullpen is a steaming pile of s***...
  9. I also love the waitresses behind home plate at Skydome. They always make viewing games played in that ballpark more enjoyable... That being said, c'mon Jose!
  10. This team is going to make me more of an alcoholic than I already am. Awful, just awful... Oh well....
  11. Per Reifert: Erstad, Iguchi, Thome, Dye, PK, AJ, Crede, Mack, Uribe. Buehrle on the mound. How about we get a f***ing win tonight??
  12. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 29, 2007 -> 04:47 PM) ^^^^^^^^^^^^ The real game isn't like a video game. People's emotions come into play. Gardy was trying to fire up his team, and it looks like it worked. Gardy was also trying to yell at the Ump and tell him to stop telling his bench to quit yelling at AJ. Apparently the 1st base ump made the "fingers across the throat" gesture to get them to quit yelling at him after the incident. He seemed to be pretty pissed about that.
  13. QUOTE(WCSox @ May 29, 2007 -> 04:42 PM) I remember a mediocre Sox team getting into a bench-clearing brawl with the Tigers back in 2000 and going on to win 95 games that year. It's amazing what a good, old-fashioned fistfight and a chip on a team's shoulder can do for team chemistry. Getting into a fist-fight/brawl doesn't make any of them better baseball players, nor do I believe that does anything for chemistry. Case in point, the Cubs last year. After the AJ incident, based upon the same theory, they would have been fired up to kick some ass and turn the ship around. Instead, they got worse and went on to win 66 games last year. They then went on to fight everything, including inanimate objects and it still did them no good. While I do agree, at times, this team looks as though they are going through the motions. But what do we know? Are we in the locker room? Do we talk to them every day, getting them to tell us they don't want to try to win, or they don't care if they win? I doubt it. The point is, you are either good at baseball, or you aren't. Right now, this team isn't. Part of it is talent lacking areas we need to stay consistent, the other part is poor decision making in times that seem to be obvious to everyone but the man pulling the trigger. Hopefully, because things can turn around quickly, this team can put some of this recent misfortune behind them and start playing like they are capable of.
  14. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 29, 2007 -> 04:09 PM) I'm going by what Morneau said. I think the first time AJ grounded out he clipped him, and the second time he grounded into the DP he came close again. Wheteher he did or not I really don't give a s***. But whatever he did, he fired up that team. I wish we had half the heart the Twins show when they play. I love this whole "fired up" the Twins concept. Gardy ranting and raving like an idiot, over something that was blown out of proportion, "fired them up"? The only thing it did was make him look like a tool... I think bad pitching decisions, coupled with some botched plays in the field, put them in a position to capitalize. Torii getting the Metro-bounce didn't hurt matters either. I don't buy this, "they were angry therefore they played better baseball" crap, because it is just that...crap. The Sox played a bad game yesterday, coupled with poor managerial decisions in regards to pitching...no more, no less. We didn't get beat because they have more heart....or because they were more fired up by Porneau almost having his foot stepped on.
  15. Porneau and Gardy were acting like a pair of b****es.... Part of me thinks Gardy was just pissed at himself for not walking PK to get to AJ in the first place, instead of letting PK get the 2 run single. In the end, the situation was blown WAY out of proportion (suprise, suprise).
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 29, 2007 -> 03:34 PM) If going to Boston and being around the Boston fans is anything like being around the Boston fans who come to the Cell, I'd sure as hell never want to go. In fact, the Red Sox fans who come to our games are worse than any other fan base I've been around at the Cell. And I've been around Twins, Indians, Cubs and Yankee fans. The Red Sox fans are BY FAR the worst. That's kind of what I was saying. I have been out there a couple of times (only once vs. the Sox) and I haven't had that issue at all. I rather enjoyed talking baseball with them. Hell, during the Sox game, I had one guy that I had been talking smack about Wakefield to buy me a beer after Rowand hit his second jack of the game off of him. The Red Sox fans at the Cell are beyond f***ing obnoxious. They are Cub fans with additional reason to act like jackasses. I am with you on that, aboz, they are annoying as s***...
  17. How about we just f***ing win the game??? I will be out for my anniversary, so I won't be watching this one. Hopefully Danks can kick some ass again...
  18. When I went in 2004, I had a blast. Its a great city, interesting ballpark, and the fans aren't as annoying there as some of the Red Sawx fans here (if that makes any sense). I met a ton of the players in Champions, which is the sports bar inside of that Mariott Copley Place. On Friday night, which seemed to be the best night to go, I got to talk to a bunch of them(Rowand for more than 2 hours alone). What struck me as cool too, was that the bar was filled with some Sox fans and a lot of locals. None of the locals had any clue at the time who some of them were out of their uniforms. You are going to have a good time. My buddies and I had talked about making our Sox weekend there again this year, but decided against it to go to Detroit instead. Enjoy! And be sure to hit up a Legal Seafood while you are out there. If you haven't before, you won't regret it!
  19. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 28, 2007 -> 03:37 PM) I saw the smiley faces. I'm just pissed cause I had money on this game, and Ozziee f***ed me. No hard feelings bro Why would you put money on Sox vs. Johan?? That's a little bit ballsy and a lot INSANE.
  20. QUOTE(Soxfest @ May 28, 2007 -> 03:20 PM) Sox just suck in this place. We don't though, thats the thing. We are the winningest road team to play there. Something to the effect of 6-7 games above .500 in the last few years... Problem is, they can't beat the pitching god that is Johan Santana. We pissed him off by scoring 4...it was time to let him have it back so we can tip our caps to him later on...
  21. Now that is just f***ing bad luck + that stupid ass super-ball rubber field... Damn...
  22. QUOTE(diegotony06 @ May 28, 2007 -> 03:13 PM) Now he will bring in Boone in a high pressure situation. This f***ing guy is such a terrible manager it's unreal he still has a job!!! He is a complete f***ing Moron!!! Oh come on. Logan in that situation wasn't the worst call in the world. The problem is that he didn't bring him in sooner to prevent it from getting this far. Count was laboring out there and was left to basically flounder...
