  1. Poor "greg" there is just nobody out there where he can find this information, so that he can learn and replace his wrong ideas with actual and correct ones.
  2. if only there was some new information that could be used to show the world that the President is a racist. Maybe a law suit over his racist housing policies, or his continued usage of racist terminology, or racist propaganda, boy if only there were people out there who found this new information and presented it to the general public in an easily digestible format.
  3. Donald Trump has a five decade history of racism.
  4. At best, you are one of the most sheltered people I have ever talked to.
  5. So if we are about to race, and I bust your knees with a bat, then scream GO, you'd be able to run a competitive race because of your level of personal responsibility?
  6. If you want a holocaust analogy, it would be akin to telling the Jews that lost everything in WW2 to go back where they came from and make due. That it was their personal responsibility to get over it.
  7. Why does everyone pretend that Tim Anderson doesn't exist.
  8. The effects of the policies don't end when the policies end. You know that right. People who couldn't get a good education due to school segregation don't get that opportunity back. The guys who got life in jail for crack possession, while white guys who held coke walked don't get to raise their kids anymore. Black people who don't get call backs for jobs because of black names on their resume, can't just make up those lost wages. None of those things have anything to do with personal responsibility, yet are real factors in modern America all without your 5 kids with 3 daddies garbage factoring in. Leave your fantasy land and listen to people talk about what is like to still be black in America in 2020. This is not an equal race.
  9. And all of these are learned behavior. All of these have been institutionally reinforced by centuries of slavery, segregation, redlining, school inequality, policing policies that make black associated crimes worse than the white ones. This isn't a flaw of the system, it was the intent. Centuries of history have been set up to destroy black families. They don't have the same bootstraps to pull themselves up with because they were taken and given to someone else. Throwing in some stereotypical racial snide remarks should be a redflag here.
  10. You signed up for White Sox message board to post about Covid?
  11. I'd much rather be a young team missing a year versus an old team with its window closing, but yes there are no winners here.
  12. Doesn't the playoff money only go to playoff teams? Is the compromise going to get some of that to the players who lose out?
  13. Pro-rated means they get paid for the games they play as compared to a full season. Play half of the season, get half of your agreed upon salary. So if they get 75% of that for the games they play are essentially getting paid to play 3 games, and playing 1 free.
  14. Disqualifying other people's life experiences is one heck of a limb to climb out on.
  15. They have an agreement for prorated pay for 50 games already. So at worst that is in their pockets.
  16. Just looking at the math here, they can play 50 games for 50 games pay, or they can play 76 games for 57 games worth of pay. MLB is asking them to play 26 more games, to take home 7 more games worth of pay. I would definitely call that a step back.
  17. He and Tim Anderson seem to have developed a pretty solid relationship FWIW>
  18. If only there were people who for a meager amount of pay would go out and gather new information on various topics that may be of interest to a subscriber base of readers who would then pay for the rights to read these new bits information (have to brainstorm on a name for this idea, the name should be short, catchy and to the point) so that its readers wouldn't have to suffer in ignorance. Sure some of this new information would be self-serving and maybe even lies, but there would be enough of the good new information out there that most people should be able to sort between the good information and the bad new information. That way people wouldn't have to suffer through ignorance of a specific topic of interest because all of this new information they would gather would complete an adequate circle of knowledge on the specific topic so as to give them enough education on the topic to enlighten them on it with all of this new information. The new information could even flow into our modern technological apparatuses so that people would have their new information almost instantly. Call it a new information expressway if you like. I'd bet there would even be people who chose to make careers out of gathering and delivering this new information to the masses, and maybe even become well respected members of their local communities for delivering this new information in an understandable format to the masses, thus liberating them from their ignorance. I know my idea for "new information" gathering people is probably a pipe dream, but maybe with all of our advances in technology we can make this happen. Let's go 2020!
  19. If you had told me five years ago that Mitt Romney would be one of the most admirable and respectable Republicans in 2020, I would have literally laughed in your face.
  20. He always had arm issues, it was just that that White Sox did everything they could to stop them before they became serious. The Red Sox didn't.
  21. I love that the this isn't a big deal crowd didn't make a big deal out of this until people started protesting over issues in the black community. Then it's all WhAt AbOuT CoViD!¡!
  22. Willfully ignoring what is happening around you is exactly that. Ignorance.
  23. Trump has run the biggest non-recession deficits in history even before Covid. Those voters didn't give a shit until they started talking about social security and Medicare.
