  1. Seeing this list makes me wonder if this is why there are so many changes that have happened in the drafting/scouting areas. That list is loaded with pretty recent additions. My other thought is I wonder if this is a response to the inevitable loss of at least one minor league team in our organization. That is essentially 1 team's worth of players.
  2. It was back when things were more league-centric and they did more to keep a sort of separate but equal between the leagues. They also used to do the same with hosting the WS and the ASG.
  3. This isn't going to be a public event. With as few tickets as will be available this is going to all be VIPs. Add in social distancing and you could even be at a fraction of the seats, and that is if they let anyone in at all.
  4. This is a huge discount over normal. Why wouldn't they?
  5. Trolling, trollin, trollin, keep those gregs trollin, TROLLHIDE.
  6. Colas can hit 95 from the left side, AND is a pretty good offensive player putting up plus numbers in a good pro league in Japan at 21. I think he is in a similar ranking to Cespedes. Even knowing Cespedes was out there Passan called him one of the best players to emerge from Cuba IN YEARS. The big question isn't how good is he, it is if he will be able to sign anytime soon. https://tw itter.com/JeffPassan/status/1213158209126617093?s=20
  7. Sure, but that is the whole point. We think we might see some things or patterns, but when you say long term effects, there is no way of knowing since the oldest cases are 6 months old.
  8. I think his lack of rankings internationally is due to the fact he hasn't been cleared to sign yet, but I am going to guess he would be really close to the top of the list based on his tools. The kid could be a star as either a hitter or pitcher.
  9. The rich get to buy their way out of jail? Seems reasonable.
  10. Best con-artist in my lifetime without a doubt.
  11. There is some anecdotal stuff, but there hasn't been any time for a study of anything yet, let alone a long term study. Remember the first known cases of this are about 6 months old. It will be years before we REALLY know what hit us.
  12. Some day's I wonder if English is his first language.
  13. And I am sure Washington/NY/Cali would also come in on the higher side, but I think that nation wide, we are probably 3-5% tops.
  14. Colas and Cespedes are both getting some very high level attention. https://calltothepen.com/2020/02/26/international-prospects-top-5-cuban-players-july-2/3/
  15. Even some of the deeper dives into broad surveys have ended up with pretty low numbers IU just did a very random survey and came up with a 2.8% infection rate in Indiana total. We need to get to about 70% to have a decent herd immunity. https://news.iu.edu/stories/2020/05/iupui/releases/13-preliminary-findings-impact-covid-19-indiana-coronavirus.html
  16. I hope there is a run on the college players and we get a chance at the top hs talent.
  17. And to top it off, the federal government and many state governments have been so untrustworthy as to safety, even if this actually disappeared tomorrow, I wouldn't trust them to be telling the truth and still wouldn't change my behaviors back to the old days.

  19. And eventually they will just stop counting. This is all a part of the master plan.
  20. Its hard to argue that this department is doing their job well in recent years.
