  1. Their pay will be scaled by what percentage of the season they play. I am sure their revenue deals will be as well.
  2. The Knicks have also been one of the few more dysfunctional front offices than the Bulls. There were a lot of power struggles and internal politics that were happening there, and a lot of basketball intellect that has been bad even by Bulls standards over the last decade or so.
  3. That is an interesting question, and one I think requires more specifics. IF I AM THE 2020 WHITE SOX, no. Reason #1: We have a starting SS in Tim Anderson, a starting 3B in Yoan Moncada, and Nick Madrigal on the way. What do we have in CF? Adam Engel? Leury Garcia? The marginal gain of replacing a successful Franco versus Anderson or Moncada is WAY less, than Robert replacing our current CF's. Reason #2: We are trying to edge our way into competition, and Franco is probably a late 20 or 2021 addition. So not only do you lose your best CF prospect, and that output for 2020, but you don't gain Franco's output for some period of time that is still TBD. Reason #3: We already have a long term deal worked out with Robert that gives us cost and service security going forward. Franco could well end up being better than Robert in the long run, but that doesn't mean he is the best fit for the team and for today.
  4. Honestly, the Articles of Confederation failed because they were too weak. Even the 1789 constitution has been added to and added to as each successive government expanded their power base. But for all of the strict consitutionalists out there freaking out about Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, seem to forget that LIFE comes first in that phrase.
  5. What they said to the public, and what was said behind closed doors doesn't always agree. We know JR teams will sell a story to the public, even if not wholely true.
  6. It looks like we have actually flattened the curve nationally. Our peak new cases number is 9 days ago.
  7. I read a study a while back that showed projectile spittle from singing travels 6 times further than it does in normal conversation. It makes sense that places like choirs and churches would be red alert zones for spreading of this virus.
  8. He routinely takes responsibility for other people's hard work and successes, but in terms of failures? Nope. Never.
  9. It will be no time at all before we see one of these Easter megachurch services will do the same for spreading.
  10. That light is a fire. A fire burning the whole thing down.
  11. For the first time in years, I am actually interested in following the Bulls again.
  12. The fun part is, this is probably going to time out so the second wave hits right about election day. Dibs on Trump calling off the elections.
  13. Sure. But we are no where near the most densly populated to get his, which tells you something about our pathetic reaction to it.
  14. That's probably true, though I would also bet our count is very low as well.
  15. The US now leads the world in deaths.
  16. Louder for the cult members in the back. The man lies about his own words, and people buy it.
  17. While we probably couldn't have stopped it, we could have prepared and mitigated the problem a heck of a lot better than we did. We closed our eyes and pretended nothing was happening until the middle of March.
  18. I can tell that a HUGE part of the RV industry is right here in Indiana (Elkhart/Goshen area to be more exact) and they are shutdown. There is probably excess inventory out there right now, but they won't reopen until there is enough demand to do so.
  19. The other piece of financial advice I would mention is if you think your situation is going to be stable for the next year, the next couple of months are going to be the time to make your big ticket purchases. Car, house, appliance, etc With as many people as just got put out of work, the inventory accumulation is going to be hard and fast. They will be able to adjust for months down the road, but not for now. On top of that, interest rates will probably never be lower than now.
  20. Our school system had to limit it to a meal kid per kid in the school system.
