The idea that the Sox should somehow upset about the performance of their front office today is a joke. Four years ago? Sure. I don't think anyone would have blinked if that happened. In fact if you actually pay attention, the front office team presented ownership this rebuild plan a few times before they finally decided to go this way. If they had decided to go a different direction for the rebuild, no one would have argued, but for the record, the top of this front office was kept in tact, while a TON of changes were made underneath them. New drafting, new international teams, new front office reports, many more analytics hires, etc. But today? Please. The Sox started from the bottom, sold off the key pieces for the highest possible return, and built themselves what peaked as the best farm team in baseball. The main tide of those players has hit the majors, and has the team in first place for the first time since 2012, and in the playoffs for the first time since 2008. They did EXACTLY what they were paid to do these last four years. This is a first place team, in case people haven't noticed, with still a good farm system to add from, and once finances stabilize, they are in a great monetary position to add pieces that the farm system cannot down the road. The even insinuation that someone would be fired for doing the job the Sox have done over the last few years is absurd lowest common denominator meatball fan drivel. All of the attempts to falsely compare them to other teams in other situations and especially to tie them to other professional sports franchises is just embarrassing. Too bad we can't fold fans accountable in the same fashion as they "demand".

Its a bad look to say this is a real season, but then pick and choose the spots at which you apply that concept. Should they weight who makes the playoffs over the last two years? Why is the draft different? I know this hurts our Sox at all, but it doesn't make sense to have different standards here.

One thing of note, Don Cooper has always been an ass. He doesn't give friendly interviews, which is why he is rarely talked to. Just because he doesn't want to explain something doesn't mean he doesn't understand, it means he doesn't care if fans do or not. All you have to do is note all of the players that talk about this stuff, how deep the implementation is, and how much it is used in the organization to know it would be impossible for Don Cooper to not being utilizing this stuff.

I know this is probably going to cause a few meltdowns, but does this sound familiar? This team has way out performed what was expected of them, had an insane 40 game streak, and is now cooling off and seemingly fading off. I think the truth for the Sox is that they aren't as good as they were when they were hot streaking, but obviously not as bad as they have been hitting lately.

Why worry so much about everyone else? Don't waste so much time and effort on everyone else's feellings.

It is his 45 day, so that makes sense, especially with his workouts coinciding with it.

Have you looked at our bullpen lately? Marshall and Cordero were taken off the scrap heap, and turned into serviceable to very good relievers. Foster and Heuer are killing it out there.

I agree. The politicians should stop interfering with the CDC, starting with the Presidential administration, and let them manage information as they see fit, instead of what is politically fit.

I understand the issues, but the team feels that Dyson for late and tie game situations is more valuable.

We also have two guys who can catch at a top level and assloads of guys who can DH.
