  1. And there are still waves more to come who haven't filed yet.
  2. I would think that teams wouldn't have to decide rosters right now though, no?
  3. Its funny, if we were talking about illegal immigrants getting stimulus money there would be massive outrage about money going out of the country. These are quite literally foreign companies operating in a matter to evade our laws and regulations, so where is the outrage?
  4. What will be the key is what they do for bonus pools.
  5. I don't know who might have any ideas, but is there any implications for this action? Are other teams making these kinds of moves? I know we are in a once in a 100 years event, but I am curious why these are still happening.
  6. Too bad you aren't a long jumper, because this jump to conclusions would be a world record.
  7. Local organizations for sure. They have less overhead and the money is much more likely to stay local.
  8. I had taken the day off to go as well for the first time since 2006. Crazy.
  9. Again, I was not a fan of Obama, but this is just an absurd correlation, and one that goes to my point of blind devotion. Even as someone who was against the universal mandate, and the plan in general, there is no comparison between this and people needing to die so that the economy can get back to work.
  10. This is ridiculous.
  11. That will change a lot once people start knowing people who die from this. Right now it is still rather abstract, but as death rates go up, that will change.
  12. That is quite literally the point. The Obama support had a limit. If he had asked them to risk killing their parents and grandparents, they wouldn't have jumped on MSNBC to say what a great idea that would be.
  13. If Barack Obama had told people to go back to work during a pandemic and that more people would die if they didn't go back to work, the reaction from his base would NOT have been cultish devotion. They at the very least would have asked some questions, and not parroted the idea that more people would die from now working.
  14. The President is literally talking about marching people to the deaths to keep the economy going and making up stuff about more people committing suicide if they can't work, than he will have killed by infecting each other with COVID. AND PEOPLE ARE BUYING IT. While Obama had his share of dedicated followers, it is nothing like this. This President quite literally makes stuff up, and the next day millions of people are parroting it. It is not the same.
  15. As someone who wasn't a huge Obama fan, it was nothing like this. Not even close.
  16. I feel like I am watching Jonestown happen.
  17. Or are they denying more people hospitalizations in general?
  18. What is really amazing is that this is something that had to be fought for.
  19. QE is under the purview of the fed and requires the approval of no congressional body.
  20. Dodged a bullet there. Now he comes back in May or June of next year with free agency looming, so his value is destroyed.
  21. I promise you this is a thing right now. We see it in all tragedies.
  22. While I am destroying myths, can we also quit pretending that no one freaked out about H1N1? Maybe because no one remembers the technical name, but "Swine Flu" was a 24/7 news cycle thing for quite a while. There were plenty of people who freaked out about. Maybe you are too young to remember it, but this was declared a pandemic, and it did get people worried. Let me take you back to 2009 https://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/2009/1024/america-in-the-midst-of-two-major-national-emergencies https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/examining-the-anatomy-of-a-pandemic-and-the-h1n1-scare https://www.livescience.com/41539-2009-swine-flu-death-toll-higher.html https://www.healthleadersmedia.com/strategy/swine-flu-scare-abates-lessons-future
  23. It is almost April afterall.
  24. It amazes me how many people fall for a meme. Do the basic math on the death rates here and then get back to me. Nevermind, as I want to make sure it gets done, so I will do it for you. The meme listed about 60 million cases of H1N1 and the deaths you mentioned. The death rate is 0.0002. Covid so far is running at 634 deaths in just under 50,000 cases, for a death rate in the US of 0.012 or about 63 times higher of a death rate. It is also still expanding at an exponential rate, so let's not pretend that "~500 deaths" is the end of it. Put another way, H1N1 put up 12.500 deaths in 60 million cases in the US. World wide we are at 18274 deaths in almost 410,000 cases. So 50% more deaths in one half of one percent of number of cases. It really isn't that complex.
  25. It would be nice if the President had any idea of history, at all.
