  1. Kopech started on Sunday and threw 66 pitches. Unless they were planning on bringing him back a day early, his normal rest day to start would have been Friday.
  2. In the 21st century, as long as they aren't a part of a corporate scandal, I am not sure that it really matters. The era of being outraged over sponsorship's has passed.
  3. I think Hahn pretty much is responsible for the process and the direction, but he has to come to JR and KW to get a final yes or no for the big things (such a changing direction for a rebuild or spending a lot of money). Again, for any person who is two levels removed from the top management in his company, this is a completely normal procedure. No one who has two levels of bosses gets to do things all on their own.
  4. I mean think of it this way. Hahn worked for the White Sox for like a decade before he got the GM job. Despite being a highly through of future GM, he interviewed for very few jobs, refused interviews in cases, and even pulled out of a process at one point. He KNEW how the White Sox operated before he accepted the position and still took the job. No matter what the situation is in the White Sox front office is, Rick Hahn is 100% on board with it, or he wouldn't be here. He's had tons of chances to leave over the years and never has. You have to make the read that he wants to be here, which means he is OK with what is happening here. What it all boils down to is if our bosses were trying to push us to do something we didn't want to do, we'd be looking for a better situation. Hahn is not any different there.
  5. I think you just argued against yourself in the Phillies part. They just now added major league talent, and are probably a year or two ahead of the White Sox in terms of timeline.
  6. More than the White Sox. Included in that stretch are guys like David Dejesus, Kerry Wood coming back, Edwin Jackson come to mind pretty quickly.
  7. The Cubs spent something like half a billion dollars in contracts on the free agent market before they got their title.
  8. Say what now? Did you forget which side of things you have been on for a minute?
  9. We are already past the extra year of control. A few more weeks will be the Super 2 deadline to keep him out of the arbitration system until his 3rd year, and not his 2nd.
  10. Yeah, I am not a big fan of this being his MLB debut. I like the idea of a nondescript home game if at all possible.
  11. They are making a Bill and Ted's part 3.
  12. Who is the latest to the White Sox?
  13. Even if a team is willing to pick up say a million dollars ("cash considerations") that is a plus for the Mets who are going to release him if they can't find a trade partner.
  14. I think this means you now officially took possession of greg's soul.
  15. Let's be honest here, our President would quite literally fuck anyone for money himself...
