Any idea of you can send someone out for rehab starts after being out for that long? That would be perfect. Give him a week and a half, and then call him back on Sept 1.

The Sox would occasionally with Sale or Quintana in recent years. I don't think Cooper is afraid of that number as much as the rest of baseball. It isn't often, but he will do it.

I can't remember when he is due back, but will the roster have expanded by then, or no?

The catching duo has actually been giving us a pretty decent offensive production since about the time that Castillo went down. It would be nice to get more out of the defense and pitch calling, but this is a nice start.

The only way to run the marathon is to run lots of miles. If he wants to be able to go 120 pitches in the future, he has got to practice doing it, even if it means he fails sometimes. Better to learn it now with no pressure.

THIS is why you continue to play kids especially when they fail.

Timmy!

With our pen, no. I don't think it would feel great for Gio to watch the pen blow a big lead after being pulled early

Still holds the distance record for the new ballpark at 503 feet.

Light Tower Power, aka Joe Borchard

18 seems like a solid over/under for number of games played.

This is his second start this week.

Gio is really throwing a heavy baseball so far. Everything has a ton of downward movement.

This is the equal of not even managing to get your pants off on prom night before finishing in terms of prematurity.

One of these days I will learn to quit reading Soxtalk when I want to find out what the score of the game is, lol.

Since no one else has taken today's honor, here we go.

Over the course of 6 years it has been found to add somewhere around $10 million to their earnings, the the lions share being in the 6th year. Do that a few times and we are talking a Manny Machado salary.
