  1. Same with high school. If you pitch a certain number of pitchers, you are then obligated to be held out a set number of days.
  2. If the Panicman wants an OF that can't hit, he could at least target one that can run and catch.
  3. a year or two?
  4. From a rulebook standpoint, it is technically correct, but just a bizarre time to call it. For me it was like calling a coaching box technical foul in basketball with no time left on the clock in a tie game. Maybe it was right, but if affected the outcome when the play wasn't going to do so. It is too bad some common sense isn't applied there, as I don't think that was ever the intent of the rule.
  5. In this day and age, it isn't as big of a deal as it once was, then again neither is only pitching half seasons.
  6. The big thing is Cease doesn't miss appearances. He's there every five days. Three straight years of 30 plus starts in his 1st three seasons. Even his seemingly league average season last year was largely drive by a terrible defense which stuck him with almost an extra run per game over expected.
  7. As I said I wouldn't be interested in extending Kopech or Crochet, I will say I would have backed up the truck for Cease.
  8. Here's the play https://www.nbcsportschicago.com/mlb/chicago-white-sox/white-sox-news/watch-white-sox-lose-on-abhorrent-interference-call-internet-goes-nuts/564455/?cid=sm_npd_rsn_chi_fb_mn&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR05Qh_6oRd8B7K9Ryw7iGiV9C4bJXPD6xQnjwD_5FmaitiEKeFfzfEXYyM_aem_Ad0pFsCaahHG3adJMaEPQvnwatsktYd1xVFiDYymAWolgnRYM5kK9NY1AFv7TLBnVe2S-MmIjucmiGdhNh-h23Sp
  9. Someone previously said 349.
  10. There is no doubt the Sox are trying to take this opportunity to rig this team to win something as a positive to point at.
  11. I think they thought they were 65 to 70 wins bad, and maybe close to .500 with some luck. Then pretty much everything they did was wrong and they freaked out. Now Baghdad Bob is making the rounds telling people that all is well. The Americans will never invade Iraq.

  13. I was thinking around 50%, so yeah, same idea.
  14. I forgot about that. That just pushes him into June then.
  15. Honestly? That's lower than I would have guessed.
  16. 60 day DL so he couldn't have came back until about now anyway.
  17. It's almost like some kids need some time to develop.
  18. With the SB rules of today, a dude like that getting on base is an automatic triple.
  19. I mean we always hear how we were second highest bidder on certain guys, plus that Jerry MIGHT have a problem with bidding on the younger kids. If that's the case maybe Marco focuses on the older Latin kids who develop late and the Cubans to make up for where he can. I have no idea where the truth lies, but the fact he is still here probably means he is doing what they want him to, whether it was Hahn, Kenny, or Jerry setting the standards. I guess we may also glean something if we start going young in the Central American countries after this year. We have been doing more the last couple of years, but who knows.
  20. Yep. Let him throw at least 100. Otherwise why is he here?
