  1. Also valid. Moreno never led a lockout that fucked over a potential World Series team of his own to claw back a few bucks from the players.
  2. Mike Trout is pretty all right. How has not being willing to spend worked out?
  3. But why? Nothing about Adams screams a guy you have to lock down a roster spot for a year for, especially with injury.
  4. Moreno is at least willing to spend. Trout would have been a free agent without the large extension if he was a White Sox. Ohtani left to chase wins more than he did money.
  5. Good call back on the Bulls/MJ/Krause stuff. Too bad he didn't learn his lesson then.
  6. They still have to open a 40 man roster spot for him until the end of spring training when the 60 day IL opens
  7. And he's not THAT good anyway. If you could grab a top 50 arm that way, sure. But I am not sure even if fully healthy that Adams is a Rule 5 pick.
  8. It's weird, but a part of me wonders if 2005 was the worst thing to happen to this franchise long term. Yes we got a title, but it also seems to convince Jerry that he knew what he was doing better than pretty much anyone else except maybe Tony. The last two decades have been a worst case scenario, and Jerry has become more and more convinced he just needs yesmen instead of anyone who might challenge him.
  9. I would have to think that no matter what could be done, they would have to introduce an amount of buffer time for teams to adjust to a new reality. If you forced the Mets and Dodgers to be at $250 million next season (or 2027 from 2026 negotiations, it would be nearly impossible.
  10. #1 they were in the best division in baseball in the AL East. #2, they were still 33 games better than the White Sox in 2024. #3, their 2024 was still 14 games better than the White Sox in 2025.
  11. In fact I would argue he looks down on his fans more than he respects their feelings.
  12. Even more than his hires is sabotaging his own guys even when they are 100% right. What do the Sox look like today if AJ Hinch, Manny Machado, and Bryce Harper had been brought in? These were all stopped by one person, and it wasn't the GM.
  13. Sure. Snapped. Asking for objective reporting is "snapped." Well I guess that makes sense in the White Sox world where you get punished for stepping out of line.
  14. You have a weird way of making excuses for everyone by blaming the last guys to get fired which effectively does the same thing.
  15. So the GM is the problem not Katz. Got it.
  16. In a crunch it is either find capital, or go under. I don't think he got pushed.
  17. No conspiracy needed. Jerry is not a cash rich owner, and he was having an active capital crunch. The signs are all there and public.
  18. Honestly, I would settle for some objective coverage, but that is a bridge too far, obviously. He didn't go from being the greatest thing to ever happen to Sox pitching, to the reason for all of our problems overnight... Just like everyone else did.
  19. It is amazing how much virtual ink was spent on Katz successes, but yet no one is willing to publicly say anything about his firing. And yet, we are supposed to suck up this White Sox sponsored opinion pieces as objective fact.
  20. No one has said anything about why guys were fired. I haven't even seen where anyone even asked.
  21. TBH Jerry is the biggest reason of all to bet against Getz and this franchise as a whole.
  22. Nobody is picking any of those guys. It would be a waste to start their clocks
