They covered it, unless the explanation was wrong. Somehow the wrong people got released to the wrong place, and they killed everyone to cover it up. That was kind of the last straw to when they officially realized they weren't getting out alive and started the revolt.

What Fields does is unique because he unbalances the defense. You have to do extra accounting for his ability to run, which doesn't allow you to full cover or full blitz. Guys hesitate, and gap discipline gets blown up because even if you are the right read, and the right assignment in the right spot, he can just destroy guys 1 on 1. I don't know if he ever becomes a great thrower, but it sure will help him that you can't just drop 7 or 8 into coverage, because Fields will just destroy you with his legs. The league is going to have to adjust, but those adjustments will give him more opportunities to throw. He is a whole other problem.

Well according to the Balta methodology of adding back WAR to decide who will make the playoffs, the key guys the dealt away and let walk from that 2019 team would add back about 15 WAR, which would have made this a playoff team. But that is only a White Sox thing, so...

To let you know how ridiculous it is, Tray and I agree on this. The Ricketts took a slam dunk playoff team and a World Series champion, and destroyed it with nothing to show for it. They keep talking about spending, but never actually have. So far they have spent outside of the stadium by the bucketfull, but nothing inside of it.
