This is one of the most absurd moves I have seen.
-
Yep, keep em moving.
-
I love the irony here.

It hurts, but at the same time, this is what the Bears need to be doing. Rebuild, stock up on picks and start over with both picks and cap room.

This morning that one popped up.

Looking to get offended isn't a virtue. There is nothing wrong with not wanting your own entertainment to be ruined by people, and taking an action to prevent exactly that.

After having the worst possible mismatch of a manager to the type of players and squad he had, it is weird that someone would be upset that we are interviewing people who better fits the type of players we have on this team. It is really easy to not understand what it is like being in a completely different world with a different culture and language than what you are used to if you have never done it before. At the end of the day, having someone who can between the lines and understand things better for a large portion of this team isn't a bad thing.

MLB does have a minority interview rule, so there are some for sure.

I don't know why it is I am still so entertained after all of these years of Jack Parkman and his come to Jesus moments.

All you seem to want to do here is find reasons to be offended at what everyone else is talking about. We keep hearing your self-aggrandizing moral superiority on these topics, and excuses to look down on everyone who you don't agree with and label them. No is is substituting a managerial hire for some sort of meaningful occurrence, except for you. With so many people here who offend you, I am not quite sure why you waste your time on all of this so called "childish" behavior here, with all of these other way more important real life things you seem to think everyone else should be worrying about, while you seemingly also don't worry about them. It's laughable that you want to waste so much time on following people around to be offended by them.
-
If it is for "entertainment" why would you want to follow something that isn't entertaining or fun? The attempt to drag politics into here isn't really relevant by your own standards.

I disagree. When you have the same people, in the same positions, doing the same jobs, the best possible indicator of future performance is past performance. We know what the Sox hiring history looks like over a long stable period of time with the front office. The idea that they could do the same thing they have always done isn't crazy.
-
Look, if a manager can't get the most out of his players, then they failed at their job. We KNOW that almost all of these players played WAY under their ceilings and potential after previously playing at a much higher level. We aren't just talking about 1 or 2 guys, but almost the entire franchise fell off. Sometimes a duck, really is a duck.

The managers job is primarily to fix #1 and get the most out of #2. Instead Tony burned this team to the ground.
-
Sox fans fear a disaster because their last manager search was a literal disaster. It is a legitimate fear based on their most recent history. I can't even be mad at people for it, because Tony LaRussa.

Like I said, one of two things is happening. #1 there is a fight for the heart of the White Sox between Jerry and the rest of the front office. Jerry has Ozzie, and the other guys want to actually do their jobs and get as many opinions about what is going on in the organization so that first off they hire the guy who fits this roster best, and secondly they learn as much as they can about the outside view of the White Sox, and ways to fix the problems. Meanwhile, Jerry thinks he knows best, and may well overrule his front office, again. #2, the Sox are playing 4D chess and running a fairly sophisticated misinformation program where they are using their sources to get out false flags to successfully run a subterfuge around who they actually want to talk to. They are throwing guys like Ozzie out there to keep the "sources" and fans busy while guys like Grifol and Mendoza fly in under the radar, both giving them some cover in their own organizations, as well as allowing the Sox to operate the search without a lot of information out there about it. It also could be something where they are feeding these rumors to specific people to see who is a leaker, and to know who they can trust in the future, and who they cannot, but to also still get tons of misinformation out there to hide their true intentions. To be fully honest, I really don't have any idea what is actually going on. I am afraid it is #1, but really hoping it is #2.

I have noticed that the neighborhood stuff is way down in numbers, and am wondering if that is why.

Moncada had a 76 OPS +. Grandal was 64. I would bet that they both improve considerably when you look at how big of outliers 2022 were, especially when you only have to go back to 21 to see a huge difference.
-
Revisit what? Grandal's 2021, or 3 times in 4 years with an OPS of over .800 before that? Moncada's 2019? Even his 2021 was a 4 war season
-
Their numbers show quite different.
