And if we really want to play Rick Hahn's the X-Files White Sox edition, it makes WAAAAY more sense to let a bunch of idiot and gullible attention starved dupes go out and run in circles with complete garbage posts about the roster to allow you to fly under the radar and get done the things you actually want to get done, such as hiring a manager and figuring how you can add the pieces to the roster that they will be able to add, versus filling these dopes in on the off-season roster moves while pretending they aren't rebuilding.
-
So Rick is out there telling the entire world six players he is looking move off of the roster ahead of time, thus allowing other teams to be ready for him, but smart enough to tell them it's not a rebuild, because that is the important part? This is some Fox Mulder type I want to believe stuff right there.
-
I don't expect the Sox to say it, but you have to be a complete dolt to report something like that AND not get what it actually means. If they aren't seeing it, I refuse to give actual credence to them having any real common sense. If they don't have that, how should I give them any real value?
-
Let's stop and think about this for a minute with some common sense. If the Sox were looking to move the three you mentioned, plus Giolito to save money, and Vaughn to make the trade have a better return AND they were looking to not have Abreu come back that isn't some simple roster readjustments. That is a full fucking rebuild. And while that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, there is absolutely no one saying that. So while I don't doubt moves are on the horizon, funny none of those all knowing internet personalities are adding 3 + 3 to get what it would actually mean.

Smart teams out there will see a lot of underachievers as well as the potential that a guy like Yoan Moncada has. If they believe in their player development enough there is a superstar in there if you can figure out how to get it out of him. Obvious Tony and Frank weren't those guys.
-
Again, if they don't want to pay him, they non-tender him.

Exactly, fire everyone.

This here. The Bears roster is trash.

I think this game falls under the Geneva convention

[RUMORS] Possible clubhouse drama information leaked?

Your feelings are hurt that Jason isn't an athlete, but it is everyone else who has the problem. Sure man. -
Now you are talking about way too innovative for MLB.
-
Well that and his kids talking Ozzie's s%*# about players who were on the roster at that time.
-
Anyone who is on camera under the same employer trying to take a job from someone else in the organization hasn't matured at all. He is not at all trustworthy as an employee. He is just as likely to burn the Sox to the ground as he is to have any kind of success with them. Why? We have already seen him do both to the Sox.
-
These are trash posts and don't deserve to be shared. If they really didn't want Gio, they could just non-tender him.
-
a plus 3B defensively is worth a lot more than a plus 2B. Not to mention if you look at the White Sox organization, we have potential at 2b, We don't have a thing at 3B for at least years, if ever. Yoan is the best 3B we have had in a long time.

I will be honest, it would be hard for me to have less interest than I did this year. But then again, if it can be done, they will figure out how.
-
And with all of the guys who sucked this year, the guys who get whispered about always have a distinctive tint.
-
It's like people have never had bosses before.
-
Someone finally asked the right question. This team was fine in 2020 and the 1st half of 21. What happened in 22? Do people really expect me to believe that someone just quit yelling at them this year and that's the problem?
-
They are making the biggest change possible to change the environment on the clubhouse.
-
With the valuations of those three players at all time lows, and two of the three of them a year away from free agency potentially, they have zero value. We'd be stupid to deal them now. You have to hold on and hope for the 2021 versions of those players and that 22 was the fluke.
-
This winter you have pretty much two choices how you want to view this team. You can view them in the lens of 2020 and 2021, or you can view them in the lens of 2022. If you believe that the truth is closer to 2022, there is no point to spending on this team this winter. The best you can hope for is to get some bounce backs from a couple of these guys to be able to deal them to start the rebuild. Realistically, you could hope to deal them this winter, but dealing guys at their absolute basement values doesn't make much sense. If you believe the truth is closer to 20-21, you look for the bounce backs and see if you can fill a couple of holes until the team rebounds enough to get the fans exited again. Either way, the players on this squad don't have much value right now, so you can't really do much to alter this team this winter without doing it at bargains for player values.

Totally agree. This is the absolute lamest excuse for not liking an announcer. The ability to observe is no where near related to their physical abilities, or in Jason's case, his disabilities. The man is a more talented at what he does than 99.99% of people who played baseball for a living.
