May 8, 20241 yr Iriarte with 8 walks today. Looks like he alluded further damage for most of the day until it caught him before he was pulled.

May 9, 20241 yr Excellent start for Schweitzer. 6IP, 4H, 1ER on a solo shot, 1BB, 9K. Dash won 9-4. Dominguez also looked good, 6IP, 2H, 0ER, 2BB, 5K. Didn't give up a hit until the 5th. Knights won 8-1. Gonzo finished 4-4 with a HR, 4RBI, a walk, and a steal for the hell of it. He's up to .298/.402/.452. Wonder if we'll see him, Baldwin, and Montgomery promoted around the same time, or if they'll start shifting the Bham infield around a bit.

I don’t think Baldwin would affect Gonzalez getting promoted one way or the other. For one, Baldwin has played 7 positions. Second, the Barons 2b situation is weak. They could slide Brooks over or have the two of them alternate. Interesting to see who would play short if all three make the majors. From the eye test I think Gonzalez is slightly better than Montgomery or Baldwin. Montgomery has the strongest arm. Baldwin is the fastest of the three. It’s pretty close.

Eh, I assumed this guy would rake until AA. He was a high performing college hitter. That he was soooo bad against udfa pitchers and high schoolers was a real red flag. Glad he has a chance at being a major leaguer but still not that interested until he can generate more consistent power. ESP at W-S
