  1. Is that right? The Orioles pick in the 13th is 7 foot tall?
  2. I was just thinking if it was something like that, it is easy to treat and fix. Should have been good to go the next day.

  4. I think you have more leeway with Sheets depending on the health of Eloy.
  5. So at some point you would be paying BOTH Staus and Soto to HUGE contracts. There are like 4 teams in MLB that could do that. Corbin at least would be off of the books before Soto goes HUGE.
  6. I will say this much, out of all of the trade packages, Vaughn being a headliner actually does make a lot of sense for both teams unless the Nats want to go even younger. Soto essentially replaces Vaughn, so that isn't a real big loss. When you start talking about Cease, then it is a big problem. Same with Robert. Honestly I think the trade packages will be multitudes less than the more ridiculous speculation so far, but it will be painful.
  7. MLB.com best available. https://www.mlb.com/draft/tracker/2022/undrafted
  8. I wonder if we are talking concussion symptoms. The Sox have been weirdly non-specific about this, and it would be one thing that lines up with what is being talked about here. No specific information, just a guess.
  9. I love how 3rd place and .500 at the break is some sort of an achievement for some Sox fans. I can't wait until we get our participation trophy.
  10. He's what Eloy was supposed to be.
  11. If he really is looking for 45 million a season for a long term deal, that eliminates somewhere between 25 to 28 teams as trade partners, because no chance they give away thatuch talent for the short term. The extreme trade price only exists if there is real trade competition.
  12. We need an official Soxtalk PuntOMeter for every time you misuse this term.
  13. Their lease isn't up for 11 years. The threat only works so much, besides what incentive does JR have to expend capital in that fight right now when he won't own the team and neither will his son by the time this matters?
  14. The Bears leaving Chicago is going to make the Sox a whole shitload of money on their next stadium deal. They will bend the city of Chicago over a barrel to stop them from being the second team in a decade to leave. Last I knew the Sox are locked in through 2033, but they will get what they want. Tis the Chicago way.
  15. That is a big time arm too. Many guys get to that ball, very few get to it AND make that throw.
  16. 6 rounds in, the one HS in round 1, all College Juniors besides, so we aren't in cost savings mode yet.
