  1. So it quitting on this season, but here we are.
  2. I have no idea what the actual details here are, but I am morbidly glad that circumstances have allowed the Sox an easy way out on this topic. Thank god for small miracles.
  3. Sure, and they paid Bellinger $17 million instead.
  4. Of all the players to be upset about missing, Joc isn't one for me. He'd been a terrible player for years, and was an even worse defender. Combined in 2020 and 21 he had a TOTAL of 0.1 fWAR, with a RC+ of about 90. If we would have spent $7 million on him, we would have gotten 2020 Nomar Mazara numbers out of him anyway.
  5. It would be the most JR thing ever to intentionally blow up a decent team by sticking Tony as its manager, just so he could rebuild again and save a few bucks.
  6. I would love to know who is on each side of those. Because all except #1 sound like options that the other guys besides JR would tolerate to get Tony out of the dugout.
  7. If he really feels this way, it's a terrible stand. Sending out more assets to try to salvage this season would have been a monumentally stupid action.
  8. Dream all you like, the answer to it is going to be Tony LaRussa in some form. Even if he isn't in the dugout, they will kick him upstairs.
  9. The Andor series was solid. Not my favorite or anything, but it is hard to top some of the other stuff Disney is doing with Star Wars right now.
  10. My plan? Sit around, do nothing, wait for baseball and complain about everything the entire winter. Probably drink some beer while I am at it.
  11. When a player doesn't preform at his job, people rightfully call them out for their performance. Same with management and leadership for the organization. Not sure why the media gets excuses made for it, but I am not interested in it. Either you can do the job, or you can't. If you can't do the job as a member of the media, much like the players, they should move on to the next best guy.,
  12. The team is loaded with talent, it is just a really bad balance of that talent. The team needs re balancing. Past that their fundamentals are garbage. I really think there are 10 games to be had pretty easily.
  13. There it is. People have been saying these things for quite a while and the silence from the press was deafening. Excuse me if I am not quite ready to celebrate these guys doing what they should have been doing for the past two years. Cowards.
  14. This should be required viewing for every American of voting age. Our complicity in the Holocaust is horrifying. The fact that some think it made up makes me irrationally angry.
  15. Looks like Caulfield has traded in his interest in KC for a shiny new Cleveland.
  16. I recognize these words as English, yet am still wondering... What?
  17. I really do believe that there was some level of work that was missed over the last few years with COVID/lockout. Spring trainings, winter workouts, etc. I don't know how much of this teams play could be fixed, but one of the biggest reasons they showed Ricky the door was because of health and poor fundamentals. It was supposed to be Tony's saving grace despite all of his other red flags. But we didn't even get the good parts.
  18. Seeing what Graveman came into the game with it gave me the feeling they were trying to skip him, hence the weird pen usage early. Dude had nothing.
  19. If we aren't going to the playoffs I want it to go badly, but not badly enough where someone gets the idea that Tony wasn't a problem and he should come back.
  20. It amazes me how many of these guys can't pitch with a guy on base to start with.
