According to the Trib, Tillman tweeked his knee and is out at least a month. They also said that Zoom is way ahead of schedule, and could possibly be back before either Tillman or Brown at the end of Oct.

Joey Cora was a pretty decent basestealer, I don't know why he couldn't rub something off on Willie. I definately don't want another Newbie as bench coach. Please give us someone who knows what's going on.

Exactly. Playing his first full season in the majors he knew he had a learning curve at the plate, but he wanted to see something that you didn't have to learn, and that is some guts. He wanted Willie to run a lot more.

I was a little off. It would have been a little south and west of Comiskey. 39th-47th, between Ashland and Halsted. Definately would have been a relatively easy walk for that era. Sounds like it would have been somewhere around a 2 mile/half-hour walk. http://www.kentlaw.edu/ilhs/stkyards.htm

Yeah it would have been. Stockyards were about halfway between downtown and the ballpark IIRC. It would have been where about most of the whearhouse district is now.
