I'm not ignoring anyone. I just want to try to verify a story before I tell it. It really isn't that big of a deal.

29 pitch first inning by Cliff Lee. That could be the most important stat of all. Get his ass out of there, and kick the crap out of that piss-pour excuse of an Indians bullpen.

Bad way to end it, but it was a nice AB. He saw 7 or 8 pitches. Most importantly Sox lead 3-0 after a half inning of play.

Nice play by Crisp to prevent a gapper, but Carlos tags and scores and it is 3-0 White Sox with two outs in the top of the 1st. Indians are throwing some leather early, and the Sox are really hitting the ball HARD against Cliff Lee. This could easily have been a blowout early.

Watching the replay, Gerut actually overdived the play by a few inches and it hit his mitt in the palm, thats why the ball popped out. Hell of a play to get to the ball though.

Gerut made a great diving effort but it popped out of his mitt at the last second. maggs scores, Los to 3rd and Carl gets a single. 2-0 Sox, still only one out.

Good piece of hitting by Los. 1-0 Sox runners on 2nd and 3rd with only one out. Jurrasic is up.

Actually the thing that blew my mind was the time. A 9.6 mile climb took almost 40 minutes. A world class marathoner can run about that far in 40 min. That gives perspective on how hard that ride was today.

Actually the fact that he is a lefty is why he hasn't been closing. he is too valuable to the Sox been to be tied to just the 9th inning. He gets used anywhere from the 6th to the 9th when needed to get out key lefties. You can't say the same about Shingo.
