The one thing that pisses me off about movies is all of the stupid hype some of them get, and this movie is getting to be like that. I want to judge whether to see a movie or not, and I don't need everybody and their brother playing it up.

Actually as a steak cononsuer (or however you spell that) I was a little disappointed. In Chicago alone I have had much better steaks at a couple of places. I really expected a much better cut of meat. It had a couple of pretty decent fat veins through it, and was a wee bit overcooked. But it was the company that made the time. I do still have to hit the Chop House and Mortons to make my ranks complete.

There might be nothing better than a steak from the stockyards in Ft Worth TX

Espesially since the Skins D is where all of their good players play.

Or how about Banned on the Run? I like the sound of that better...

To further the question... What if Maddux comes in goes about 30-20 over his two years here with an era of 4ish. But in his time here helps say Neal Cotts realize his potential and teaches him the art of spotting that change up. Is he worth $7 million a year then?

I am disappointed no Beatles stuff was incorperated on this anniversary, but I will give you a passing grade for effort... B-

Are you really telling me that you would equate Greg Maddux's knowledge of baseball to Charles Oakley's knowledge of basketball? Maddux is a legendary student of the game, and one of the best pitchers of my generation. What is Oakley? And to top it off, baseball, espesially pitching, is a much more cerebral game than basketball. No comparision between the two. None.

I think Sammy will be one of those guys who doesn't know when to quit, because he needs the attention. I don't think Frank will play for more than 3 or 4 years. Nothing to base that on, just a feeling.

I have actually seen them do a show like that. I don't know if they stayed more with the early music to be family friendly or not, but I have seen them do a show split into two parts where they dress and play early, take a break, and then come out in the Sgt Pepper costumes and play the 2nd set. Very cool.

To summarize.. High Euro=bad for European Economy.

I like them a lot actually. They do one of the best mixes of sound, voice, and show of anyone I have seen. Usually the groups are really weak in one area or another, but they are pretty balanced. I really like the guy who plays Paul. He even has the mannerisms, and stylings down to a T.

I know some of us had a discussion a while back on the affects of currency prices on an economy. Now Europe is starting to feel some of the things I said they would... Very interesting read.

Well then you might have seen everything worthwhile in Indy IMO Anyway I do want to get out and see some minor league games this year. They upped my 7 game plan to 9 games, when I was waivering on whether to get it or not, so they talked me out of tickets this year. I was also thinking about seeing Toledo and Indy's new stadiums based on when Charlotte was around. Hopefully some of the Soxtalk guys will be there, and I can meet some of them face to face.

Yeah Indy pretty well sucks. My best advice would be to try to catch a game at the Conseco Field House. It is the best basketball arena I have seen, bar none. Way retro and way cool.

NOt even the best basketball movie ever. You can't top Hoosiers. Period.

And will take that one step further. What Greg Maddux could teach to the Jon Rauch, Danny Wright, Neal Cotts of this staff could be huge. Don't forget many pitchers need a mentor to go from point B to point C. Think of Buehrle giving Boomer credit, think of Shilling giving credit to Randy Johnson, etc...
