State of the Union....
Good statement cw, and appicable to a lot of people.

Stop it
Espesially in a non-constant action sport, the extra cameras in baseball are so underutilized that they end up getting lots of those kind of shots.

Flying Under The Radar
It was beautiful to see some old time hockey, somewhere other than the minors.

The Dead Horse is dead
From today's trib. Both Kenny Williams, Scott Boras, and Theo Epstein are denying this deal is being done, as are basically the Rangers.

Great SEC game last night with Kentucky and Tennessee going to OT to decide it by one point 69-68. UK had as big of a lead as 16, but UT rallied back behind McFadgon's career high 33 points to force OT.

Really as a confrence, the Big 12 has gotten good at basketball in the last 10 years or so. They would always have an elite team or two, and then just crap for the rest of the teams. You gotta remember the Big 12 came from the old Big 8 which was basically a football confrence, combined with some of the old SWAC which was another football confrence. They have had some stars here and there, but nothing like the rest of the major confrences such as the Big 10, ACC, SEC, Big East and PAC10

An unintentional confession?
Wow. Of all the stupid things to say...

State of the Union....
I am watching. And the whole "applause" thing annoys the s*** out of me. Didn't they learn in school to hold your applause to the end???

Bulls Mascot Arrested
hmm maybe that expains why the Bulls go through long stretches of being out of it. Maybe they need to find a coke or heroin dealer to be their mascot instead

Radar's Latest Idea
I like the idea of 3 points for a win. A win shouldn't equal two ties. And thusly I would want to see the NHL stay at one point for a tie. If they make it two points for a tie, then you are making a tie actually worth more.

With the 14th pick.....
With Tucker and maybe Columbo coming back next year, I would look for a pash rusher. I think the line will be all right. Plus there are some good FA's out there on both sides of the line that the Bears can look at.

For the Chicago intelectuals
Two high recommendations of must see. #1 See the Einstein exhibit at the Field Museum. It is a pretty incredible exhibit and really makes a good attempt at explaining some incredibly complex subjects such as the Grand Unified Theory, and the Theory of Relativity. It also gives some very interesting insight into Einstein the person. But definately try to schedule a day or time where there are not a lot of people there, as the subject matter is mind blowing. #2 See the Wild Reef at the Shedd Aquarium. The shark tank that they have has really cool curved glass, that actually runs up over your head to give a very neat illusion of being in the tank.

Take this finger...
Just saw this today on page 2 of the Trib. I never knew Rio had over 4000 murders a year! To put it in perspective that total is more than double of the top 5 cities in the US combined

Great Big East game last night with UConn and Pitt going down the wire. UConn defended their home floor with a 68-65 win over the Panthers.
