Or 4 runs in 1/3 of an inning before that... There is a reason that Anaheim gave up on a lefty who can throw in the mid to upper 90's for Gary Glover. Maybe after a spring with Cooper he will get straightened out, but I am not holding my breath.

Pete Rose back in baseball?
I saw the link to the Dowd Report. Once I have time I am going to sit and read that, and then really make an educated judgement.

More Thomas milestones
With his 3 hits last night Frank tied Eddie Collins for 3rd on the all-time White Sox hits list at 2007. He is chasing Fox at 2470 and Luke Appling who is the Sox all time hit leader at 2749.

- 7-0 road trip
We just need to keep winning series. 7-0 was a nice pipe dream, but not realistic.- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
If the ball and runner get there at the same time, how does 1 ump out of 10 call him out because the ball beat him there? Yes they can get there at the same time (and do often!) but it's not ruled as a tie goes to the runner. it's either man beats ball or ball didn't beat man, however you want to look at it In summary: There are "ties" at first base where the ball and the runner arrive simultaneously. The "tie goes to the runner" is not recognized in the rule book. It is at the umpires discression whether he thinks the runner is safe or out, in other words, a judgement call. Are we done now? Are you kidding? This arguement has pages of posts still to go!- 1.5 games back now....
Like a sprinkle in a drought.- Schoenewies
Like I said, if we would have pitched Glover every 3-4 days, we would have had no need for Scott NoSchowenwies. I said this was a bad trade when it happened, and I will say it again. This was a bad trade.- A move that makes sense...
Yeah it would be nice to stick Colon in the middle of Buehrle and Cotts. That way you get the flamethrower in the middle of the finesse.- KC -Yankee Game update
They are beating Cleveland and Detroit, call me when they beat someone worth a s***. Dumb response, considering we play the same schedule and cant seem to beat those teams..... The difference being that we are beating the good teams, while KC and MN are not. Plus we have kicked the s*** out of both of them head to head.- KC -Yankee Game update
They are beating Cleveland and Detroit, call me when they beat someone worth a s***.- Great quote in US News!
Parks and Flowers? Try money as it the money that he funnels to his mob buddies that just happen to be the ones building the parks and planting the flowers..- I'm new to this
Interleague play in September with Arizona? That is pretty unusual...is it a makeup game from June? It is a make up game. They weren't going to reschedule it, but now it could be key to the pennant race.- Neal Cotts' First Start

I guess I just have extreme southwest Michigan covered :dips*** He nailed you! Michigander, my ass! :finger :finger :finger :dips***- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
I gotcha. It didn't make as much sense out of context, I guess. And BTW, I agree with you, the "lucky" hit is an artform of good hitters. You don't see bad hitters getting those kind of hits. The best example of it, once again, is Frank during the 90's. He had so many bad swing and check swing ducksnorts over the first basemans head it was sick.- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
Who are you talking to Bmr?- New member here
