The 3rd is because of offense, but 7th in walks and 33rd in ERA is his fault, not the offenses... You for some reason don't think that having a ton of pressure on you to throw the perfect pitch inning after inning would finally get to someone? If you are constantly in tight games or are trailing, and you want to keep your team in the game, it is hard to win. The pressure will eventually get to you and it will ruin your confidence. Remember how it seemed like Foulke would always get rocked last year? That's the kind of s*** that happens when you lose your confidence. Him having a higher ERA, a higher BB total, and a higher loss total can all be contributed to having a lack in offensive support behind you, though only the loss total can be directly linked to the lack of offense. Pitchers are human, just like you and me. I don't know about the lack of offense, but definately the 12 unearned runs and the extra pitches associated with them.

This might be the one weekend where that a Dead Wings jersey might not get you killed

Geez you are almost to 200 posts for the day!

The problem was these guys hated his guts, and were sick of fixing the problems he started. The guy started like 3 brawls that year.

First of all Weaver was drafted by the Sox, and refused to sign with us. Second of all he started all that s*** with the bench clearing brawl in 2000. Third of all he is such a bad teammate that once after plunking someone else he went into his clubhouse and b****ed that no one would stand up for him anymore, insulting his teammates to the point where one of his outfielders was going to beat his ass, and it took a coach to stop him. His teammates didn't care.

Fair enough, and I agree -- IMO, there is very little a person can do that is worse than being a hypocrite. Rapist, murderer, thief, arsonist, armed robber, pedophile, kidnapper, extortionist, nose picker...etc, etc... don't forget Troll!

Right now Frank would almost be an ideal #2 hitter. He sees a ton of pitches, gets on base, and gives guys an opportunity to see more pitches. The thing is I like the line up with Harris and Jimenez at the top better. Frank is finally starting to drive in some runs with RISP at #3.

Bingo....it's even more surprising that he's able to put up these numbers with a terrible offense and bullpen...if he's on the Jays he's won every start (not taking anything away from Halladay at all....however look at Lidle, who has about 10 wins with mediocre era and whip numbers) Give the Sox 2 runs in that 1-0 L, and Loz is 12-1!

And Clu, this is EXACTLY what I am talking about. First we aren't to judge Mark on what he has done before, but now, but when it comes to Frank, it doesn't matter because of what he did up until 97 and in 2k. Don't get me wrong. Frank and Joe Jackson are the best two hitters this franchise has ever seen. The years Thomas put up in the 90's were incredible. I appreicate what he has done for this team. If he puts up a few more decent years he should be a first ballot hall of famer, if he retired today, he would be at least a 2nd or 3rd ballot HOFer. There is no one else on this team you could say anything like that about right now. I just get annoyed with hypocracy.

And don't forget who is on Mike Scocia's staff this year...

It isn't even that I don't like Frank, I just get annoyed with the double standards that get applied to certian players.
