Eh, the boys have to go into each series thinking that they can sweep it. Plus I'd like to think that they are looking for some Royal revenge after the embarassing games that they played in KC over the openning series.

The D did the job today. Looked very effective. Bart also worked quicker than he used to and I think that helped.

This is a page that a guy on the Sox ESPN boards maintains. He only updates it a couple of times a week, but it is nice because all of our teams are on one page. I think Rowand is too busy looking over his shoulder at what guys like Rios and Borchard are doing. I think Aaron is an ideal 4th OFer, and not much of a starter in CF. Nothing against Aaron, becuase I love the way he plays the game. If Lee played the game the way Aaron does every night, we'd be talking about Lee as one of the top 10 OFers in the game. But Aaron just isn't that talented. And I really have got to figure by the All-star break he will be back on the bench.

Could we be talking about 7 starter possibilities??? I think getting beat out by Stewart and Loiaza was the best thing that could have happened to Jon. Now he has to go back to AAA and prove that he is worthy instead of a spot just being handed to him. I get the feeling that either Stewart or Loiaza or maybe both of them will start to stumble. I hope Jon is there to step in when it happens.

Yesterday was the best that I think Gordon has looked all year. All his pitches seemed to be working for him.

I didn't see anything, but his whole demeanor was different that time around. He really looked like a team player that time aroun, and it would be my guess that SOMEONE took him to task for his earlier AB.

They just flashed the stat that the Tigers are hitting only .186 with RISP. The Sox are only hitting .245

The Sox always show the same 5 commericals every single TV break, and yest it is very annoying!

The ball didn't bounce very far away from Inge at all. Jose just saw it hit the dirt and took off. He was being agressive with two outs and I can't really get to upset about that.

Carlos had another one of those mental mistakes that plaque him. With runners on 1st and 2nd you don't pull the ball, you give yourself up and try to hit it the other way. If you still hit into a DP, oh well, but you dont' try to pull the ball!

2nd time we have seen this pitcher... that should mean some runs

I think as a whole you would have to call the pitching as it is now a best case scenario. As a team who expected us to only have 3 pitchers with an era over 4?!? The hitting has been much worse than we thought it would be so far. You have Frank at .222, PK at .179, and Lee at .171, plus Olivo has not hit a thing all year. And the defense has been about what I expected. OK, but not great. Really there was one BAD game and a couple of mental breakdowns, but who didn't know we would have some of those problems? All in all I think we are in OK shape providing that the hitting wakes up in time for us to play good teams.

Meh, I just had to get a JR joke in there somewhere. I think it is great that they are doing this.
