  1. With the Leury situation, I would have to imagine Burger starts today.
  2. Those can't be real quotes, can they?
  3. The Sox have traditionally brought up a 3rd catcher too...
  4. And with Moncada, Jose, Leury, and Billy H all nursing injuries (at least) on the active roster, you can't carry a guy like that right now.
  5. Hopefully he takes this a cue to work on his defense at catcher. If he could catch, he'd still be on this roster.
  6. In 2021, it could even be as simple as just being healthier than the rest of the field. This year is BRUTAL.
  7. Like I said in the other thread, it looks like Yermin was starting to get it back, but the need for healthy position players was too much with the injured, plus the walking injured on this team. Need some people who can field a position.
  8. It looked like he was starting to get it together, but the need for position players is too great right now with all of the injuries and walking injured.
  9. The Sox could have pretty easily started him at Winston Salem or Birmingham and no one would have wondered why.
  10. This is the time of year where these guys accept being a team leak factory, so they can get the later scoops.
  11. It really is a great story.
  12. That 2005 team had a pretty unreal run of health though, which is the exact opposite of this one.
  13. That's a great call on Yo getting to rest some of his other injuries for a few days being a nice side product of this.
  14. This could well affect his trade value
  15. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?/forum/89-the-trade-winds/ Its that time of year again!
  16. The Soxtalk seasonal trades forum is back. Give us your rumors, your deals, and your outlandish trade proposals here!
  17. For the record that means we have gotten every first round pick to the majors, with the White Sox, going back to Keon Barnum, if you count him, or Courtney Hawkins in 2012 as a true 1st round pick.
  18. Micker is a great trade candidate as well, if someone else is willing to play him early. He is out of options, so he needs to be on an MLB roster come April 1 next year. Probably doesn't help his trade value though.
  19. Crap, I didn't realize we were at the half way mark. I though we were still in the mid 70's.
  20. Probably not, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good move. For the record, he is looking at about $3.5 million per month, so at this point, you are probably looking at around $11-12 million with the amount of games left in the schedule
