  1. There it is. If a player injury was his main concern, why did he NEVER PROTECT HIS PLAYER after the Twins threw at him? He excused it and said he had no problem with it.
  2. This is a steaming pile of hot garbage. The biggest rebuttal to it is that at no time, no time at all, did Tony EVER say ANYTHING about protecting Yermin, or saving his from injury. It was about protecting the game, and how the game is played. He also never once tried to protect his player once something did happen. They threw a fastball behind his guy, and he stayed in the dugout. Tony never talked about Yermin's health. Not a single time. Every chance he got he spoke about respect, and respecting the game. He DID say how he DIDN'T have a problem with what the Twins did, even when he COULD have mentioned injuries caused by thrown baseballs. On the bright side, after the stretches made to come up with 18 of these things, you should be limber enough to run a marathon. Either that or you have a future as a propaganda minister for some despot needing an excuse generator.
  3. Tony also said he didn't think they were throwing at his player, and even if they were it was all right. He had a million opportunities to protect his guy, and took none of them. This wasn't about protecting Mercedes.
  4. Tony isn't using his.
  5. This is stellar.
  6. Dude is struggling to manage in a game that has passed him by. Even if this accidentally happened, it is a volatile situation that could meltdown at any time.
  7. That's a great picture.
  8. And you can also laugh at the posters on Soxtalk all you want, but you can't hand wave away a good chunk of the Sox roster taking Yermin's side here, and not a single one, even his own coaching staff, taking a public stand with Tony. THAT should be red flag for anyone whose head isn't buried somewhere.
  9. Add Gio to the list.
  10. You have really lost it. Of all of the people to give cult like devotion to, this is the 2nd strangest one. No idea what the politics has to do with it, but the only derangement is by those who can see this disaster unfolding in really slow motion and thing that everything is fine. You need to accept that the man isn't the best person to be managing the White Sox these days, and he is making a lot of self inflicted dumb mistakes. Laugh react or not, anyone who can't accept that has no idea about the game of baseball.
  11. There is NOTHING out there on him.
  12. What was the reason for the roster change? Someone at Charlotte hurt or released?
  13. Holy Crap I didn't realize that was Lil NIcky in that one.
  14. On the contrary, not being able to have any objective opinion on this manager means there is plenty of space in your mind to be occupied.
  15. Dylan needs to Cease and desist with that, lol.
  16. First off I want to thank this franchise's savior, the all-mighty Tony LaRussa who managed this team so hard, including giving Giolito the get lots of strikeouts signs, as well allowing Liam Hendriks to throw his best slider, even thought it might upset the Twins players. It is a gutsy move, but also allowable in the unwritten rules, as Hendriks was throwing his authentic slider and not his other one. Obviously Tony will have to punish the offense, including Mercedes for missing the drive in runs signs multiple times today, but that will be taken care of not in the locker room, but in his office. Amen.
  17. And the fact he has actually gotten some hits in this series.
  18. The plan would be for Giolito to be a willing party. The Sox have approached him with multiple deals over the years, but he hasn't been willing to sign up.
  19. It's almost like they are distracted by something else going on...
  20. He isn't going anywhere until at least one of Eloy or Robert gets back, along with a healthy and decent Engel.
  21. The Sox lead MLB in most pitches seen in the first inning of a game at 18.5
  22. To be fair, I got his autograph when I was like 10 at a game in Arlington Texas. He was actually a super nice guy when he gave it to me. I guess I balance this out.
  23. Tony actually said he missed the sign, so this isn't true.
  24. So if it is all about old school baseball, why didn't Tony have Josh Donaldson hit after he pimped a homer with this team down 2 touchdowns? If it is about old school baseball how come he didn't answer the throw at Mercedes with one of his own? If it is about old school baseball, why did Tony talk to the media about what happened in the Sox locker room instead of keeping it between them? Answer: Because Tony LaRussa is full of shit.
